08-21-05, 10:48 AM Is the armor in Races of Stone for Dwarves only?

I don't see any "Exotic Armor Proficiency" feat so I'm kind of thinking it is Dwarf only.

I like the artwork done with the different types of armor. Very nice fluff.

08-21-05, 10:59 AM As I recall they're simply Exotic, and I think most Dwarves aren't proficient as they're exitic for them too.

True but there a feats for Dwarves where they can wear the armor if they had that certain feat.

08-21-05, 11:50 AM You can take exotic armor proficiency in one of the suits of armor. There is a dwarf-only feat that allows them to gain the exotic proficiency for several of them at once.

08-23-05, 01:07 AM If those pictures of armour you're referring to are the same ones I'm thinking of, I don't see why you like them. They suffer from the "big shoulder pads=cooler/more manly" issue that is common in fantasy art today. If somebody wore that unrealistic crap and tried to raise their arms, they'd squash their own head between the pauldrons or wanna-be haute-guards!

Those two armors are just cool.

Same with interlocking scale.

And you know, you can change the appearance for your character. Not all armors are the same ^_^

But to answer the original question:

Anyone can take any damn feat that they want to. Provided one of the prerequisites for Exotic Armour Proficiency isn't "Dwarf" - - then yes, anyone of any race can have it.
