| The Debonair Swordsman02-23-05, 04:58 PM | The speed enchantment was in the Defenders of the faith book. I was just wondering if that can still be apllied to 3.5. Can it? |
| Dell Kallyan02-23-05, 05:03 PM | DM's discretion. |
| SD02-23-05, 06:07 PM | God willing, no. The thing is that's it's based on 3.0 haste; nothing does the same thing in 3.5, and certainly not at such a low level. If you're using 3.0 haste, then I could see a DM allowing it. If you're using 3.5 haste, the only hope is in a DM with a weak will or preternaturally low foresight. |
| Derren S.02-23-05, 06:11 PM | No it can't as the 3.0 haste doesn't exist anymore in 3.5 Also I think it was errated. |
| hat02-23-05, 06:26 PM | Can somebody please give me a rundown on the differences between 3.0 haste and 3.5 haste. |
| evangelion101002-23-05, 07:28 PM | Without starting an arguement... One was a very overpowered 3rd level spell. The other is a situationally useful 3rd level spell. Most will argue that 3.0 haste was broken. My DMs argue otherwise, since in 3.0, every monster and their pet goldfish had a way to haste, and the party had to spend a round to get it cast. (since this is SRD, i believe...) Basically 3.5 haste is +1 attack on a full attack, +1 to AC, to hit, reflex saves, and +30 move speed 3.0 haste was an extra standard action - move, attack.... +4 ac....and some others i think too.. |
| HomebrewedMonster02-23-05, 09:26 PM | Keep it at a +3 enchantment bonus, and have it opperate as the boots of speed. You have a total of 10 rounds of haste a day. |
