Allow me to present my idea for armor sizing. Personally, I believe that when one finds a magic suit of armor, it shouldn't just fit. The 3.5 DMG disagrees with me, but I disagree with the DMG. The DMG states that "Magic suits of armor, when found, have a 10% chance of being sized for small creatures." The 1st and 2nd ed. DMG don't even mention it from what I can remember. One could use this loose interpretation to determine that their 6'5", 150-pound human can easily put on a suit of armor worn by a 3'9", 240-pound dwarf they killed. Well, anyway, I made up a table.

Base chances to fit into found armor:
......Halfling.Gnome.Dwarf...Elf....Half-breed.Human
H.......80%....50%....12%....0........0. ..........0
G.......45%....80%....20%....0........0. ..........0
D.......14%....18%....80%....16%....13%. .....12%
E.......0.........0........20%....80%... .65%......30%
HB.....0.........0........15%....60%.... 80%......50%
H.......0.........0........7%.....40%... .45%......80%

Notes: The "half-breed" category includes half-elves and half-orcs. You'll notice that a race has an 80% chance to fit into a suit of armor made for its own race, and that dwarves can try and fit into any suit of armor (although it's unlikely). To use this table, the columns across the top represent the size the armor is, and the rows represent the race trying to fit into the armor. For example, an elf has a 20% chance of fitting into a suit of armor made for a dwarf, and a dwarf has a 16% chance of fitting into a suit of armor made for an elf.

While we're at it, I also have a sub-table for determining the size of the armor when found (if part of a treasure hoard). Roll d% and consult it:

01-05: Halfling
06-10: Gnome
11-20: Dwarf
21-35: Elf
36-50: Half-breed
51-00: Human

While I'm at it, I made a subtable for magic sword type, but it only applies to 1 and 2. Roll a d% and look at the table to determine the type of sword.
01-10: Short sword
11-25: Broad sword
26-75: Longsword
76-90: Bastard sword
91-00: Two-handed sword (Greatsword)

Please tell me what you think of these tables.
