Armour, Magical Special Abilities, Polymorph and the Bear Warrior [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm looking for armour that continues to provide protection when the wearer is polymorphed or in Bear Form (as in the case of a Bear Warrior - Complete Warrior).

Does anyone have any ideas or know of any armour special abilities that do this?

05-29-05, 03:56 PM I believe there was an armor enhancement that did exactly that in one of the "Complete" books that came out recently. Sorry, but I forget exactly which one it was. I've never really given any of those more than a passing perusal. I vaguely recall a picture of a druid wearing armor polymoprhing into a bear wearing a larger version of that armor and scaring off a bunch of drow. The picture is probably the only reason I remember it.

05-29-05, 03:59 PM There is something like that for Druids basically, it is in Complete Adventurer. I believe it is called Wild Shape and I believe can only be used for wild shape, and for it to aid you in AC when in wild shape, you must use another wild shape use for that day when you transform.

05-29-05, 05:45 PM yeah, it's called beast skin armor, but it only works for wild shape. I think it's in masters of the wild as well as complete adventurer. Ask your DM, though, he may allow it to be used for bear warrior.

The "Wild" armour enhancement from Masters of the Wild costs +3 and allows you to use the armour bonus and enhancement bonus of magical armour while wild shaped or polymorphed (I think).
