| Etiquette_Gnome09-09-04, 04:16 PM | I'm interested in purchasing this book, except I don't have a noticeable guide to aid me in deciding to spend the money for it. There's aren't many reviews that tell you much beyond "there's alot of stuff". Does anyone have any opinions as to the balance of this book? I'm capable enough of thinking up mundane equipment, and I'd be most interested in this book for the mechanics of the stuff, but I'm not getting it if the set-up isn't balanced. Basically, do I have to worry about munchkins with this book? |

| General Dorsey09-09-04, 05:13 PM | First, let me recommend that if you buy it, don't buy it new. I personally don't think it was worth the cost I paid. That being said, I do use it. I like the various armors and weapons as well as the new materials introduced. I skipped the sections on vehicles although it looks like it could be useful for some campaigns. I was disappointed with the magic armor and weapon properties. Many of them were simply duplicates from other sources. It was nice having them in one place, but since I already had them, I would have rather paid less to get them again. Several of the magic items were interesting as well. I don't think any of them were unbalancing. I do think that you may want to look it over first though. |

| scaryfroman09-09-04, 11:46 PM | I like it, but dont have it. I reccomend it as a book for a friend to have. |
| Celt09-10-04, 12:07 AM | I like it, but dont have it. I reccomend it as a book for a friend to have. Translation: "It's got some ok stuff but I wouldn't spend money on it. Con a friend into shelling out the cash." :D I like the way you think. ;) |
| Asta Kask09-10-04, 02:47 AM | As long as you stay away from the food prices, you'll be okay. Remember, according to A&E, one pound dried carrots is worth as much as three pounds silver... :mymy: |
