| carnivore02-02-05, 04:41 PM | none,........it only adds +1 to AC, when fighting defensively or full defence. if you make an unarmed attack while wearing one and do not have improved unarmed strike..........you are subject to AoO :D |

I'd love to make them with like Electricity, or Flaming on them. It would look pretty impressive and scare the crap out of some opponents that don't see the wraps before they burst into flames. "Oh my gawds his hands are on fire, and he's laughing!" :evillaugh :plotting: |
| Edymnion02-15-05, 11:00 AM | what damage does the ward cestus do?For future referance, its against the CoC to request copywritten material to be posted, and really against the CoC to post it up. Basically, if you can't find the information in the SRD, then its closed content, and you're going to have to buy the book, or at least thumb through it at the bookstore to get the information. You can't use the boards for that kind of thing. |

| tarkin02-15-05, 12:50 PM | The CoC does NOT prohibit requesting or posting Copyrighted Material. That is false information, propagated by people with no concept of what is and is not legal. You can read the WoTC Code of Conduct here. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=community/coc) It prohibits engaging in illegal activites, including copyright violation. Requesting an answer including a small quote of Copyrighted matierial is not a violation. Providing an answer including a small quote of copyrighted material is also not a copyright violation. It is called "fair use". If you read the CoC, what they actually prohibit is called "overquoteing". Over quoting is not strictly definied, but the courts have found that it must be more than one or two paragraphs. |
| Ogre4Hire02-15-05, 12:58 PM | Besides, Edymnion, I think he was asking because the Ward Cestus doesn't have a listed damage. |

The WizOs have stated many times in many threads that the way we interpret and enforce this point in the CoC is that requesting and/or posting non-SRD game mechanics is a no-no unless you are quoting a relevant passage for purposes of discussion (e.g., if you have a thread about interpreting the effects of a particular spell, you can quote the part that is leading to confusion, but you obviously can't just post the entire spell). This is the way we interpret and enforce our policy, and that's what counts. |
