I was told that the Arms and Equipment guide has price ranges for Mercanaries! Does any one know how much they cost? If not what would be average prices?

Thanks ahead of time! :DCheck the prices in your copy of Arms & Equipment Guide (we can't display copyrighted material here - its against the agreement we all 'signed' when we made our accounts for these boards).

Sorry, I forgot, but since I don't know any one that has the book, and our local gaming store is just opening, I changed my post to get help on a personalized price range! :D

Thanks for the reminder!

I would say set a price of a certain amount of gold PER level of the Merc. Fighters or Warriors being the least expensive and specialist going up from there. Best way to gauge the prices you should charge is to see what kinda cash flow your group has. Dont want to make them TOO Cheap or too expensive for the group to utilize.

Make it per level squared. It could get really messy otherwise. Or you could just take leadership. Or the time-honored combination of fireball and animate dead.

I do believe the DMG lists prices for hirelings, both skilled and unskilled. Your standard merc would fall under that.

This is the best place to start -- the list of standard hireling prices is on p.105.
