Where can I find some prices?

If not in a book, what do DM's charge for this stuff?

arrows of fire, acid, etc...

thanks

as far as i've seen in 3.5 magic arrows are useless, becuse the bow transfers its abilities and bonuses to it. thus if you had a +X flaming bow each arrow you shot would fly out as a +X flaming arrow. so you just enchant the bow and buy cheapo arrows. plus i dont think if you were to enchant an arrow it would stack with the bow (but im just guessing now i dont have my books). Plus the DMG lists a master work arrow at over 300gp and you need to start there before enchanting the thing. the weapons and armor guide has an ability called "energy aura" i think if you put that on a bow you can really have fun.

Masterworking and enchanting arrows is done in lots of 50 (so each masterwork arrow costs +6gp, NOT +300gp), so its not as expensive, but noticably worse in most cases, to having a magic bow. If your DM lets you buy magic arrows a few at a time or lets a PC craft them that way, then it can be useful sometimes- carry around a few bane, aligned, odd energy type arrows in your quiver for those difficult creatures. Its the same motivation as carrying a few silver, adamantium, and cold iron arrows.

for the archer in the group...

acid arrows are like a flask of acid + masterwork arrows, so 300gp/50arrows + cost of acid (25gp i think) per arrow.

that is, unless they find another source of acid...

it comes out to 31 gp/shot, i think...and does +2d6, +2d4, or +1d6, depending on the nastiness of the acid, along with the other damage from being an arrow...

ermmm...

quiver of ehlonna + archer with craft + supplies = lotsa badass arrows!

No, they are not priced that way at all. Its a +2 equivalent ammuntion (2^2x2000=8000gp enchantment+300gp masterwork cost+2.5gp for 50 arrows) that costs 166gp and 5cp per arrow. That gives you a +1 Arrow of Acid, that deals an additional 1d6 acid damage. All in all, not worth it.

Its better for alignments and bane enchantments. Magebane arrows are quick fun.
