Anarchysun85 08-14-07, 07:45 PM	Ive played a few PC's that used bows and crossbows and have always wondered if there was anyway that I could make special arrows with just a craft skill in (bowyer) or bolts also. If anyone has any info on this it would help out a lot thx.
oracle71 08-14-07, 08:57 PM	Making a long or short bow requires craft (bowmaking), so you should be able to craft the arrows that go with it, even arrows made out of special materials. Making crossbows requires the craft (weaponmaking) skill though, not craft (bowmaking).

If anyone has any info on this it would help out a lot thx. Do you mean that you want to craft arrows that function as bolts and arrows at the same time???? If so, just ask your DM if you can?? That's the easy way out. ;) :P
celestialkin 08-14-07, 09:22 PM	If you are looking for arrows with special abilities I highly suggest getting a copy of Dragon #349. It has a section about special bows and alchemical arrows. My personal favorite is the thunderstone arrows, which function like thunderstones on impact. The smokestick arrows, which function like smokesticks on impact, are also pretty fun. Think Green Arrow type arrows annoying the heck out of your opponents. :D I believe a lot of the bows and arrows printed there were later reprinted in Races of the Wild, but I am not a 100% sure about that.
