Assssin's fav weapons [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-04-07, 11:48 AM i've recently madea level 1 assassin (from lv 5 rouge) but i don't know what weapons to use i've got to hand crossbows a short sword and a dagger and i'm a halfling.
can you help!:D

01-04-07, 02:28 PM Well, since you're using Sneak Attack for most of your damage, it doesn't matter too much what the base damage of the weapon is.

If you're using Weapon Finesse, you obviously want either a light weapon or a rapier. Of course, being an assassin, you might find it handy to use a dagger as it gets bonuses for sleight of hand checks to conceal it. So I would say just go with whatever is the most magical light weapon you can find.

01-04-07, 06:22 PM Pretty much what fatal error suggested. The weapons you already have fit the flavour of an assassin already, so it's just up to get magical versions or upgrade the ones you already have.

01-04-07, 07:19 PM Possibly a barbed dagger, from Races of the Wild - With 5 Ranks in Sleight of Hand, it deals an extra two damage on sneak attacks.
