Malebranche 12-13-07, 08:19 PM	So for a fairly high level adventure I'm running, I'm looking to introduce the PCs to an NPC githyanki pirate captain of about the 21st level (rogue 3/fighter 4/scarlet corsair 10/legendary captain 4). He has an interesting storyline behind him that he was a prodigy among the warriors of Tu'Narath, was a favored consort of the lich-queen, Vlaakith, rose quickly through the ranks to Commissar/Admiral, and generally played/deceived the lich-queen the entire time. He's pretty charismatic and hyper-chaotic and upon reaching 16th level actually volunteered to be sacrificed to the lich-queen's near-regret as a trick. After going to bed with her for the last time, he steals away during the night, taking with him all those soldiers loyal to him and secretly comandeering the lich-queen's flagship. Since he was basically playing her the entire time and she actually fell for him (something that's never happened before), she hates his life and hunts him across the astral plane incessantly. What I need, though, is an incredibly badass astral ship. Money's not too much of an issue since it was the lich-queen's and Tu'Narath's flagship but nothing too ridiculously epic. Here are some of my ideas: -I want to combine the stats/details of a Living Astral Ship from Planar Handbook and a Dromond from Stormwrack -It will have 9 or 10 mounted ballistae (rules from Heroes of Battle, probably magical) -I'm thinking maybe a mithral hull, badass enchantments, and DEF a planar helm -A crew of the captain, his minotaur cohort, a couple humans, a crew of githyanki crossbowmen, swashbucklers, grenadiers, siege engineers, raiders, rogues, etc. What else do you think I should include? I'm looking for suggestions, crew ideas, magic items, feats and class progressions, plot ideas, and especially rules clarifications as to putting together a combination of a Stormwrack dromond (with all the magic goodies) and Planar HB living astral ship... Help me out!
