Attacking one person that is being grappled question [Archive] - Wizards Community

Is it possible to attack a pinned character (pinned by grapple) without hitting the grappled attacker? I thought I once read somewhere that there was 50% chance of hitting the wrong target, but I have not been able to locate that again?

Was sure I had seen something like 50/50 but it was only for range, so last time we played we did it correctly :)
