Second, Antimagic... So hellishly strong, did it get nerfed or is there a way around it? |

Only one extra attack from one of the weapons is possible. Speed does not work with itself or with haste. Second, Antimagic... So hellishly strong, did it get nerfed or is there a way around it? Forcecage. A Forcecage is affected by Antimagic Field in the same manner as a Wall of Force. It is not. The only way out is through the Astral Plane, which you can access only through magic or supernatural ability, niether of which work in an Antimagic Field. The field will have to be dismissed to leave the forcecage. |

| SALDAR04-21-05, 09:22 AM | The weapon ability itself says it does not work with other similar abilities. This would include the Haste spell, Boots of Speed, and another weapon with the Speed enhancement (which is created using the Haste spell). I don’t recall where, but this was covered officially. That is why my group changed how we play Speed weapons. We keep to official rulings as much as possible and change when a ruling is made that differs with our way of playing. |

From the FAQ: The description for the speed weapon property says it is not cumulative with the haste spell, but exactly how this applies in the game seems unclear, especially when two weapons of speed are involved. Can you use two speed weapons at the same time? What, exactly, is meant when the rules say haste and speed don’t stack? Does it mean you can use the speed property during the normal portion of your turn, but not during the “extra” partial action you get from haste? You can use two weapons of speed at a time all right, but you still only get one extra attack, from one weapon or the other, not both. If you are under the effects of a haste spell, you can use the extra attack action from one weapon of speed, or the extra partial action from the haste spell, but not both. |

Thats good, you've convinced me. Even though it sucks for my players 12th level fighter, 4th level rogue, 5th level wizard character with two +4 rapiers of speed and perfect two-weapon fighting. |
