Even at first glance one would know to whom this weapon is dedicated. Holy symbols of Sh`iia line the two beutifully cut weights at eather end of the lash and even the aurorum used in its construction suggests that this weapon is dedicated to the Goddess of redemption. This weapon feels increadably light to the touch, as if it were little more than a scarf of silk. the links of the chain tinkle like glass bells when the weapon is used and just holding it makes the weilder feel as if she could walk on air.

The Goddess Sh`iia was not alwayse such, dispite what many of her Clerics say. Once, long ago, The Succubus queen Malia devised a plan so increadably radical that even the most sadistic and calculating pit fiend would be shocked by its brazen audacity. Drawing togeather the most powerful spellcasters she could and offering them riches and pleasure in exchange for their services Malia had forged a terrable weapon the likes of which has never been seen. The weapon was created with little more than fragments of the beyond, the space outside existance, and intended to banish any who touched it inescapably to the beyond. with power such as this Malia knew she could finally have a way to eliminate all who dared to oppose her in any way, and she would start with those who lived on the upper planes. once this horrable weapon was devised it was attuned to the intended asassin, Sh`iia, whom Malia then sent to the upper planes, disguised as a lost human slave girl, and the foul chain was hidden on her as those that bound her. Malias plan backfired however as Sh`iia quickly grew sad and frightned by the unfamiliar surroundings. while crying alone near the portal that she was supposed to claim she came though accidently, Sh`iia drew the attention of the god Valdar, who saw though her disguise instantly, but at the same time took pitty on the child, who seemed so unlike her kind. Distuising himself as a young mortal boy, Valdar appeared before this crying demoness and began comforting her, tellling her he would take her in and care for her. Sh`iia was overyjoyed, both because she would have a place to stay and because she would be able to test out her mothers "gift" to see if it worked. Still, evil as she was Sh`iia could not find the right moment to strike. the boy was so kind to her as he led her to his home, fed her, made her clean cloths to wear. the days turned to weeks, the weeks to mounths, and the mounths to years. every day the boy went out to hunt while Sh`iia stayed and cleaned the house and cooked food. The Demoness found that she was becoming less inclined to drop her disguise when the boy left as time went on. Something deep inside her had begun to change, and Sh`iia was becoming content to be a simple girl rather than the destroyer of all good her mother had intended. Still, even as Sh`iia grew accostomed to this life she knew it could not last, and that she had to destroy this young man she had grown to care for and move on. on the night that they celebrated what she had said was her fifteenth birthday, Sh`iia attempted to touch the end of her chain to the young boys back, instantly dropping it after it contacted him and crying in agony over what she had done. somehow the girl had fallen in love with this mortal, and he had become more important to her than anything else. just then Sh`iia heard the boys voice and a hand touched her cheek. "there there my darling one, do not wheep." he said, lifting sh`iias face to look a his. gone was the mask of the half-elf boy Sh`iia had known, replaced with the visage of a being that all creatures knew even if they had never seen his face. Sh`iia shrank back, struck with fear and sure she would be condemned to the fate she had attempted to push upon the one she loved. But instead Valdar just smiled and brushed the girls hair. he told her that he knew who and what she was, and what she intended to do. he also told her that she no longer had to do her mothers bidding. Something had sparked the flame of good in her heart, and Valdar assured her that all was forgiven. with that he took a step back and let the young succubus girl see the weapon that had been her reason for existing in the eyes of her mother. it was now a simple, beutiufl chain of aurorum. and upon seeing this transformation Sh`iia knew in her heart what she had to do
Light from Darkness

Sh`iia had done though force of will what others can only do though the strongest of magics. Redeemed of her dark birthright Sh`iia took up championing the cause of her beloved Valdar, using the very chain that had caused her so much anguish to bring good and hope to the material plane. Because of the mercy shown to her Sh`iia began to offer such mercy to others by attempting to change the hearts and minds of the wicked before resorting to lethal mesures. clerics of Valdar held Sh`iia in high regard and often mentioned her by name when offering prayers for protection. all this however did not escape Malias notice. she had been watching her wayward daugter for some time now and did not like what she saw. Enraged by the apparent failure of her daughter to destroy those who stood in the way of the wicked succubus queen, Malia set a trap to lure in Sh`iia and extract her revenge. Malia used her charms to convince a Balor to attack the temple of Valdar in the city of Stromgard. The Clerics and warriors of the city held the Demon off for as long as they could, but soon it became apparent to Sh`iia that she had to intervene if the city was to have a chance of surviving. Charging down headlong at the Balor Sh`iia suddenly found herself trapped, unable to move as a sudden surge of fire rained down upon the city and the surrounding countryside as far as the eye could see. balls of flame rushed past Sh`iia as she watched the city razed to a pile of stone and the land around her smashed and chared. Malia appeared before her daugter at that moment and laughed. she taunted Sh`iia for how weak and helpless she was, for failing to fullfill a simple task. Sh`iia swore that if her mother did not stop this madness she would end her life, but Malia simpy made the helpless girl watch men women and children all perished in the infernal storm. Without warming, an arrow passed though malias arm. a young half elf boy was on the ground, taking aim at malia with another bolt. sensing she was in danger Malia fled, and Sh`iia was instantly relased. quickly she attacked the Balor and slew him, stoping the storm. ONce the storm had calmed Sh`iia fell to her knees and whept for all the lives lost. Valdar, seeing his love so hurt and his followers slain so brutally, decided to intervene. he raised his hand and closed his eyes, and then from out of the wreckage came the children, all the children of the great city had been brought back by Valdars grace and charity. he told them to go and to live their lives, but not to rebuild the city. They were to live a simpler life and leave their parents wrok behind them as a thanks to Valdar for his mercy. Ever after, whenever Valdar is mentioned among the tribes of Varda, Sh`iia was mentioned in the same breath, as it was her tears that moved the gods heart. Joy from Sorrow

It was shortly after that when Sh`iia realized that her mother had to be stoped, one way or another. Drawing to her a host of angels, Sh`iia did what no other celestial being has even drempt of, she led an assault against the planes of evil themselves. When Malia found out that her daugter was coming to put an end to her, the Succubus queen pleaded with the other demons for aid, but word of her treachery had spread and the only responces she received were the corpses of dead messengers. Malia barred herself in her chamber and waited, her two eldist daugters standign guard as the angelic forces clashed with those demons who stood against them. Breaking in the door of Malias cort, Sh`iia walked in alone, armed only with the chain that had once been Malias twisted tool. Sh`iia fough both of her older sisters at once as malia tryed to escape. Once she had the two Demoness at her mercy Sh`iia imprisoned their souls within her chain to give them the same chance at redemption. Soon Sh`iia had tracked down Melia as well and the two demoness began an increadable battle that shook the foundations of the castle. once Sh`iia had incapacitated her mother as she had her sisters, she offered her the chance at redemption that they would receive. Melia refused and once again attacked her daughter. Nobody knows what happned or how, but it was not long after that a few of the tribes of varda started new festivals in worship of the new goddess, Sh`iia, after a young Cleric of Valdar found a beutiful chain laying near a brook. It is an incredible thing to create! I must borrow it to put in my game! I love the story behind it and the abilities seem to fit my favorite character concept. This is an item that allows people to redeem evil people! I love it! You deseve incredible amounts of praise for creating such a unique item! Just one question? What is a chainlash?

Wow, thank you very much. This is the story behind Sh`iia, the Goddess of redemption from the homebrew world we play in. I must say i am flattered you would actually wish to use it in yoru campain. I hope you find it usefull.

as for a chain lash, think spiked chain but with no spikes and a diffrent exotic weapon pro to use it. its in savage species, but its basicly a bludgening spiked chain.
