| Crimsondagger01-30-07, 12:23 PM | :dragon: :help: I am trying to recreate an old character and he had a unique weapon. The weapon was simple a very large iron ball attached to a leangth of chain attached to a bracer on his arm. the ball was origanaly tuck in the wall of the cell that the party found him in. however upon realese they could not remove the bracer due to some curse or something I cant remember. any way the ball was roughly twice the size of a watermellon in both width and hight and was used simply by spinning it and launching into enemies. due to the wieght we figured tripping with the chain might work but hard to do. any way I would really like to bring this character back and cant figure out the weapon so what I am saying is, HELP!!!! Never laugh at the kobold dragon shaman for adventurers are often flamable. :dragon: |
| DarkRhystar01-30-07, 12:31 PM | Large Flail + Locked Gauntlet. |
| Illithid_Tentacles01-31-07, 08:31 PM | That sounds about right to me. |
| Onikani01-31-07, 08:38 PM | don't forget your Monkey Grip. :) |
| Mad Mage01-31-07, 09:38 PM | Unless the character - or someone who they interacted with - modified this weapon for enhanced combat effectiveness, I'd also make it an improvised weapon. |

In that way you could use the mechanics of the spiked chain, but change its damage type from pierce to blunt. Sounds more like what he is after than locked gauntlet + flail, which would have a handle on it. Although the flail is a remarkably better weapon for keeping from using a feat. both are tactically sound, although the 2 handed flail is great damage combined with nice tactical abilities for a pure fighter who has lots of feats to improve on it. |

You get one of them by breeding the Oriental Adventures Kusari Gama with the PhB Spiked Chain. |
