11-11-05, 02:30 AM How is the cost figured for arrows, bolts, and the like figured for ammo? Where do I find the rules for such in the Rule Books?

So to make a Masterwork arrow into a +1 Bane (plants) arrow costs

8,000gp for 50

or

160gp for a single arrow

11-11-05, 08:33 PM i feel i should point out that both of you are correct... tarkin's is just more general.

as tarkin said, the general cost for ammunition (arrows, bolts, sling bullets) is that for the same price increase to enhance a single normal weapon, you get 50 arrows.

so for example, to make adamantine weapons costs +3,000 gp iirc. for +3,000 gp to the cost of the ammunition (50 bolts, arrows, or bullets), you get 50 adamantine arrows.

for +1 bane masterwork arrows of normal materials, it is 167 gp each. for +1 bane adamantine arrows, the price is 227 gp. and so on.

11-11-05, 08:37 PM Yes, Tarkin was correct. I just didn't want the original poster to go home thinking arrows were only 160 gold. I don't want the establishment cheated out of their fair cut, after all. ;)

11-12-05, 11:35 AM Is it possible to create just one arrow of a specific type? I thought that ammunition had to be done in a complete set of 50. Please reference where this is covered in the rules.

11-12-05, 01:22 PM i believe you can make one masterwork arrow, or one arrow from a special material. normally when you enchant arrows, i believe you must enchant 50 (although you could certainly buy them 1 at a time from someone who enchanted them, provided they are willing to sell them one at a time).

there are exceptions though. certain special arrows are made individually, it seems. for example, arrows of slaying are made one at a time, iirc. these arrows will be specifically listed as a specific weapon, though, not as a +X enchantment.

You can, however, buy them, as Jaid mentioned. Assuming you can find someone selling them.
