Bane weapons and favored enemy [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-08-05, 07:52 PM Can I have a Bane weapon against the (Cold) subtype? Also, can I choose (Cold) subtype creatures as my favored enemy? And, do you think that a bane(giants) weapon could kill a troll without firew or acid?(This last question is just a curiosity, maybe it`s stupid, but anyway)

04-08-05, 09:07 PM I'm fairly sure you couldn't have a bane "cold" weapon. Maybe outsider cold bane, but bane is for types, not subtypes. I'm not entirely sure on that though.

As to your other question, no, it wouldn't deal normal damage, just extra subdual damage.
