After all, isn't a half-elf vulnerable to human-bane weapons too? Secondly, could you have a "half-blood-bane" weapon? +2 to hit and +2d6 against any "Half-X", like half-celestials, half-fiends, half-elves, half-dragons, etc? |
| Santrilla05-11-05, 09:05 AM | I'm pretty sure that one of the 'downfalls' or balancing factors of the Half-Elf is that they're considered both human and elf for magical effects. If you wanted to, I'd see no reason why you couldn't make a half-elf bane weapon, but I think a half-anything bane weapon would be a BIT extreme. |

An half-elf has Elf Blood trait, and the Elf sub-type, and thus is considered an elf for racial effects, such as bane weapons and ranger favoured enemy bonuses. An half-elf does not have the Human sub-type, and thus is not considered a human for such effects.Secondly, could you have a "half-blood-bane" weapon? +2 to hit and +2d6 against any "Half-X", like half-celestials, half-fiends, half-elves, half-dragons, etc?No, they are already covered by their type. Half-Celestials are Outsiders (Native -usually), Half-Fiends also. Half-elves are Humanoids (Elf) and half-orcs are Humanoid (Orc). Finally Half-dragons are Dragons. |
| CzarGarrett05-11-05, 01:10 PM | There is, however, a set of feats that allow Half-Bloods to be considered Human rather than Orc or Elvish. I think they were in Dragon or Unearthed Arcana, so its not necessarily allowed in every game. |

| Tsuul05-11-05, 04:25 PM | Not a bad idea for a HR. Add in the feats that have you consider yourself as one race over another and you're on your way to "DnDizing" Blade. |
