| Braskar06-25-05, 04:42 PM | Does Frenzied Berserker levels stack with Barbarian levels in Improved Uncanny Dodge ability? Thanx a lot in advance. |
| Tyler Do'Urden06-25-05, 04:51 PM | No. Why would it? |
| Nuntius12806-25-05, 05:23 PM | No. Why would it? No foolin. What makes you think that they would stack? Barbarian and Frenzied Berserker are totally different classes, their abilities won't stack until it specifically says they would. |
| Ehlijen Iswa Tschingjo06-25-05, 10:21 PM | In most cases the rules for improved uncanny dodge say that if you get it from two difeerent classes, those levels stack. So if both the barb and beserker levels grant you Improved Uncanny dodge, they probably stack. You should check the rules for it in each of the class descriptions. However if only one of the two classes grant you that ability, the levels do not stack. |
| Braskar06-26-05, 04:39 AM | hmm..ok. I was thinking frenzied was a barbarian take to superior level... Indeed, i didn't find any rules that make these two different classes levels stack for this purpose... |
| Braskar06-26-05, 05:29 AM | question... Why i have to consider these two classes like two different classes? It's the rules, i know, but... Frenzied prerequisites: Power Attack, Cleave, Destructive Rage, Intimidating Rage, BAB +6 Destructive Rage & Intimidating Rage prerequisites: Rage or Frenzy ability. Now, to obtain frenzy a pg has to be a frenzied berserker so he/she just do have those two feats...then he/she doesn't need to obtain them another time. Then a pg must have at least one level in Barbarian class to gain rage ability, so he/she can take Intimidating Rage and Destructive Rage Otherwise how can a pg obtain prerequisites to be a Frenzied Berserker? For that i think of a Frenzied Berserker like a powerful version of a Barbarian..maybe some ErrataCorrige could fix those thing i consider a little mistake? Maybe it seems i don't understand the fact...but could someone tell me the weak points of my arguments? Thanx |
| TrackStar06-26-05, 06:52 AM | This is silly, Rogue and Barbarian are completely different, yet their uncanny dodges stack... Why wouldn't frenzied and Barbarian stack? It would only make sense. I think that unless it specifically states that it doesn't, then it should. Unless the frenzied berzerker version is different somehow, which I dont think it is. |
| Kalis Atrud06-26-05, 08:59 AM | Maybe it seems i don't understand the fact...but could someone tell me the weak points of my arguments? Thanx Does the 3.5 frenzied berserker even get uncanny dodge as a class ability? The 3.0 frenzied doesn't, so that is why it doesn't add new uncanny dodge abilities or stack with barbarian levels to protect agains flanking. |
| Merestil Haye06-26-05, 09:03 AM | There is a simple reason why the levels in Frenzied Berserker do not stack with Barbarian for Uncanny Dodge. Uncanny Dodge is not a class feature of Frenzied Berserker. If it was, they probably would stack, like Rogue and Barbarian levels do. |
| Nuntius12806-26-05, 11:00 AM | For that i think of a Frenzied Berserker like a powerful version of a Barbarian..maybe some ErrataCorrige could fix those thing i consider a little mistake? Well, Prestige Classes aren't stronger versions of classes. They're special classes of their own, with their own unique abilities, There are class abilities required to get into them, but they're totally different. Saying barbarian levels stack with Frenzied Berserker levels is the same as saying Wizard levels stack, too, because neither Wizards nor Frenzied Berserkers have Uncanny Dodge. This is silly, Rogue and Barbarian are completely different, yet their uncanny dodges stack... Why wouldn't frenzied and Barbarian stack? Frenzied Berserkers don't get Uncanny Dodge, that's why. |
| TrackStar06-27-05, 12:54 AM | I understand that now, before however, I was made to believe otherwise. |
| FineasBoggs06-27-05, 01:24 PM | No they don't stack as the v3.5 FB doesn't get the ability. http://www.tus.net/shadowblades/Web%20Art/manshoon_mage_sigil.gif |
