If it maintains a hold, in the following rounds it can use (ex)Impale so long as it makes a successful Grapple check. His natural attacks are 2 claws, and base attack bonus is +12. The Question is - How many times can the Barbed Devil use the impale ability during his turn? Thanks in advance! |

They normally have 2 attacks, so in the first round he can hit with his claw and start the grapple, and if he succeeds then the opponent is grabbed/held. Then you can use Impale with your remaining attack if you have another attack available, by making a Grapple check to deal damage. Once a target is grabbed, if he doesn't escape he can then have 2 Impale attacks against him, because the Hamatula can use both his attack actions for Grapple checks. I think. Check the Rules of the Game articles about Grappling, they were updated recently. |
