I'm looking at buying barding at x4 cost. My question is, does the x4 multiply Masterwork costs and material costs?
For example, does a Mithril Chain Shirt for a centaur cost 1400 or 4400 gold?

Furthermore, for weapons does the composite component of a Composite Longbow get doubled for a large creature, or does just the base cost get doubled?

Composite is part of the cost, so cost is doubled including the composite component.
