How many gallons or pounds does the barrel in the PHB hold?

The reason I am asking this is the fact that I can find the info on that any where and I wish to see how much the 30lb barrel will hold in liqued for a blood of vol blood traficking ring that I want my pc's to be part of a sting op in sharn or stormreach.

On side note in d20 how do you determin the amount of blood in a creature or npc, do you just have acertian set that you can go by based on the size category or what?

well the average person on has a few quarts, creatures of the same size will roughly have the same amount. Also blood goes bad really fast if not kept chilled (or something like that )

See the Rules of the Game article series, "Going Metric"

It doesn't seem to consider storing liquids in barrels but it should give you an idea.

The barrel holds 10 cubic feet .
1 cubic foot = 7.48051948 US gallons

Therefore it holds 74.8051948 US gallons.

so for simplicity lets say 75 gallon X 4 quarts to a gallon = 300 quarts/ 5 quarts to the regular human body = 60 humans worth of blood can be held in one of these barrel's.
