chucky 03-19-07, 12:02 PM	A char starts out with a base based on their race of 20-30 on average. Does a chars base move, for things like the winged template and warlocks invocations, increase when you use items like boots of striding and springing, exped retreat & boots of skating? Or is the base move you start with never change and the rest of them enhancment's onto your base move?
draconic_swine 03-19-07, 03:59 PM	It depends. Boots of striding and springing, haste, longstrider, expeditious retreat, and a monk's bonus to speed are all enhancement bonuses. A barbarian's fast movement, on the other hand, modifies the creature's base speed. I'm not sure about the other things you mentioned, since I don't have those books. You'll have to check the description of each item/spell/feature to determine whether it modifies base speed or is a bonus. I have a feeling that the template will modify base speed, as do other templates.
