| Xeviat-DM04-18-08, 11:21 PM | I am about to start my last 3E game (unless 4E ends up terrible). It will be a 17-20th level Tome of Battle campaign. To make things easier on myself, I wanted to build a table of equipment for generic NPCs to have, and also to come up with a few simple item sets to give the characters to start out so that no one is too weak in any one area (like having too low AC). The party will be fighting a lot of NPCs (Warriors, Crusaders, Swordsages, and Warblades). The NPCs will have magic equipment, but it will all be worse than the partys. Looting won't be an issue, as treasure will be fairly obvious. Thus, I'm not concerned with what the increased concentration of NPCs will do to treasure. The NPC tables in the DMG work, but I think we can make better. Does anyone have any suggestions utilizing the PC and NPC gear value tables? |
