I have a bard that plays a lute and I wondered if a bayonet was worth it. Can anyone give me tactical ideas or even possibly bayonet feats?

Where did you find a listing for a bayonet? Or are you going to make one?

There used to be one in th Song and scilence book from 3.0.

The tactical advantage is that you have a weapon out while your playing your lute so you can threaten everything around you while you play, you can take AoOs, and you don't have to spend a Move action to draw a weapon when you finally attack someone.

What about crossbows? I think that would be an interesting combo. Fixing a bayonet onto a crossbow that is.

I seem to remember a bladed crossbow in one book or another. Maybe it was in the Arms and Equipment Guide...

A bayonet is a requirement for any bard that wants to "lute" and pillage. :)

If you want to play AND attack in the same round use GNOM QUICKRAZOR out of the Races of Stone!
