Bear Warrior, how many attacks in bear form [Archive] - Wizards Community

Do I have to use the claw/claw bite as full attack or can I use the primary(claw) and my BAB to gain iterative attacks?

06-28-07, 11:34 AM You use the bear's. Your BaB doesn't apply,since you're in another form. I may be wrong though.

The /1 is an iterative attack, and it only applies to regular weapons, NEVER to natural weapons.

Instead creatures get secondary weapons as the equivelent of the iteriative attacks (not the TWF equivelent). If you get two primary weapons, that is the equivelent of TWF.

I would say yes they get it. you pick what you are going to attack with if you want bite then you get to attack with your bite that many times, if you chose to luse your claws they come after your bites and you take a -5 to all attack rolls. unless you have muti attack. if you pick claw you get that many attacks with that one claw.

1. There is no such thing as a 6/1 BAB. Your BAB is 6. Period. Nothing else.

2. There is a special rule that let you take an iterative attack when using a weapon. Those iterative attacks are at bab -5 if your BAB is 6-10, at BAB -5 and BAB-10 if your BAB is 11-15, and at BAB -5, BAB-10, BAB-15 if your BAB is 16 or higher.

Creatures with natural weapons get Secondary natural weapon, which are similar to iterative attack rule.

Creatures with Natural weapons sometimes (rarely) get a 2nd Primary attack. This is similar to TWF.

Similar to does not mean "OH, ignore everything else I said and just treat them like this."
