| BugBytes03-20-08, 12:37 PM | As of late I have become aware that there is a special combat item used by druids called Beastskin. This item makes it possible to keep your current armour and it's AC bonus when you use the Wild shape ability. I have searched the various manuals and guides at my disposal but have not been able too figure out it's bonuses, liabilities or even it's cost. I was hoping that, if I gave you a list of the requirements and materials used to make this item, someone could approximate how much it would cost to buy or to hire a druid to make it for me. Thank you. Beastskin Armour Caster level 13 Ironwood Craft magical armour & equiptmnt Strong transmutation |

| BugBytes03-21-08, 12:32 PM | Thank you. I first read about it in the equiptment guide. I never thought of comparing it to the Wild armour feat. My druid is already equiped with the Wild spell feat so the two together would make a deadly combination. How do you mean, there are some advantages and some disadvantages? Like weight? I thought that I would take the creatures natural armour bonus and add my armour and/or sheild bonus to it. Am I wrong? |

Something messed up on my side and now I can't seem to delete it. |

Magic Item Compendium is not part of the OGL so I can't quote you word for word what it exactly does and its price. Its priced like the Wild Armor Enhancement in the DMG (+X). It is similar to what Wild Armor enhancement does (ie. You get to keep the armor or shield bonus to AC when you wildshape). The costs for using and creating the item is different from Wild Armor. If you don't own MIC or know someone who owns it (or can't find a bookstore to peruse it for that one item), I would suggest sticking with the Wild armor enhancement in the DMG. |
