I have a character with one of these, and I think my campaign will be "upgrading" to the Magic Item Compendium soon. It's not in the new MIC that I can see, and I don't see an errata up for it yet.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks!

For any item not reprinted in the MIC, just use the original description...

With the notable exception of the 3.0 Bow of True arrows.

With the notable exception of the 3.0 Bow of True arrows.

With the general exception of anything from a 3.0 source, including the 3.0 Arms & Equipment guide.

I can't seem to remember what was wrong with that bow, didn't it just let you cast true strike as a standard action? If you used it as much as possible, meaning you only fire every other round, you probably arent casting it more than 10 times a day.

Seems ok, but personally I don't want to give up my attacks as an archer... look at say a 11th level ranger, would you be better of firing 4 arrows, or casting true strike?

There are a lot of things from the Arms and Equipment Guide updated in the Magic Item Compendium, but the Belt of Endurance wasn't.

I'm just hoping it doesn't go away. I was rather fond of it.

more then that it was a spell-completion item, like a wand, so you had to be a spell-caster with true strike on your spell list to use it (or use UMD) so it wouldn't do any good for that 11th level ranger anyway.

ah I see, so really it was only good for the arcane archer types, but still I dont think it would be taht good either way.

oh I quite agree, the bow of true arrows was not that great of an item, how people can consistantly consider it "Broken" is beyond me... I get the feeling that calling it such is usually a knee-jerk reaction arising from skimming over it, but not actually reading the item description closely and thinking it through.

I'm just hoping it doesn't go away. I was rather fond of it.when the swtoch from 3.0-3.5 happened WotC said that everything from 3.0 was still fine, unless they specifically said it was not anymore, or they reprinted it with changes in a new book (In which case the enw version was the one to use)...
