I just got my hands on like 19,440 GP as a lv 4 rogue/ lv 6 sorceror. Can anyone recommend some good magic items for either class that take up a belt or eyes slot?

Input would be appreciated.

If you have a decent Wisdom score, a Monk's Belt (13,000gp) can help your likely-flagging unarmored AC out. Not to mention that being able to keep your hands free can be a plus for this combo.

EDIT: Wow . . . "belt or eyes" . . . got it . . . my bad. >_<

If you've got access to the AEG, a Blindfold of True Darkness might be a better bet. For 9000gp you can trade your vision for 60' Blindsense.

For 9000gp you can trade your vision for 60' Blindsense.Blindsense can be pretty nifty, but trading in your normal vision isn't really worth it for a rogue. Not only do you lose the visual acuity optimal for doing all the non-combat "rogue-ing" things (infiltration, finding traps, looting a place), but you also completely forfeit your ability to sneak attack anything (as attacking someone you can only "see" with blindsense has a 50% miss chance).

The only advantage the blindfold will give you is the ability to spot invisible creatures. In every other way, it's either going to be a wash, or an actual hinderance on the character's abilities. A wand/scroll of see invisibility is a better bet . . . or, since the character has sorcerer levels, he can even take it as a spell known if he's encountering a lot of invisible creatures.

Although I've always considered fireball to be the sorcerer's best way of dealing with invisibility. ;)

Really ... huh. I wasn't unaware of that. Could you quote the relevant passage? (I'm wondering where I missed it from).

Other creatures have blindsense, a lesser ability that lets the creature notice things it cannot see, but without the precision of blindsight. The creature with blindsense usually does not need to make Spot or Listen checks to notice and locate creatures within range of its blindsense ability, provided that it has line of effect to that creature. Any opponent the creature cannot see has total concealment (50% miss chance) against the creature with blindsense, and the blindsensing creature still has the normal miss chance when attacking foes that have concealment. Visibility still affects the movement of a creature with blindsense. A creature with blindsense is still denied its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class against attacks from creatures it cannot see.And not only do you give up your ability to sneak attack others, you're going to be flat-footed for everyone else's attacks against you.

Blindsense is good to have when augmenting normal vision. But plain ol' human vision is better if you have to pick just one.

ha! I know what the problem was.

I got the two confused. And I just looked it up to make sure. It's not blindsense 60', it's blindsight 60'.

In the Psionic Handbook there are some psionic (magic) items that can be used by anyone. The Crystal Mask of Mindarmor gives a +4 insight bonus to Will saves - 10,000gp.

Criminy, 6000 gp for Blindsight? That's dirt cheap!

Hmm, save it all up safely, and by a gem of true seeing, but costs like 60000gp.
