How would you price an armor that allows you to enter a rage, as a free action on your turn like a barbarian does, 1x/day including being fatigued afterwards?

I come up with 3200 as a use activated wonderous item (spell level 2 * caster level bard 4 * 2000 / 5 (1 charge/day) ), as either a shirt or vest. How would that translate to armor? I don't really see any other items to use a better guideline.

Since items are priced on power, I would price it identical to a Monk's Belt 13,000 gp and have it give you the Rage of a Barbarian 5 levels higher than your own (or 5th level if you are not a Barbarian.)

I would also grant the DR abilities of a Barbarian 5 levels higher (but if you have no levels in Barbarian just 5th level DR which is still none.)

This would be the fair way to price a similar item.

Extra Rage is a feat.

Somewhere there is a price of how much it costs to add a feat's ability to a weapon or armor.
You could go with that, or if that price seems too low, then just have it add 1 or 2 rages/day instead of three.

Extra Rage is a feat.

The A&EG says to use 10,000 per feat and 10,000 per pre-req.
It doesn't grant the pre-reqs.

Extra Rage has a pre-req of the ability to Rage. Does this count as a "pre-req"?
If it does, that is 20,000 gp and you still need the ability to Rage already.

Since A&EG rules for feats are usually broken, lets show similar items:

Mask of Fury (DR324 p76)
2/day 12,000 gp
Requires you to take damage to activate (3 HP and a standard action)

Blasphemous Figurines of the Void (DR336 p70)
1/day 14,000 gp
Self only Rage spell, one of 4 abilities, but Rage is the most powerful and only one of the four abilities may be used in one day (so they are "Similar Abilities" and not "Different Abilities", i.e. like Staff)

So a straight 1/day Rage may be fair at 6,000 for standard action and harm yourself. To make it free action (and not harming) would increase the cost a bit, to say 10,000 gp or more.
