meriadoc 09-13-07, 10:22 AM	I'm planning on playing a Gnome druid with a riding dog animal companion in our next campaign. I was wondering what magic items could be usefull for a druid and looked through the items in the dungeonmasters guide. While looking i couldn't really find items that would enhance my powers as a druid. My question to you is to give me some tips for magic items I should buy. oh yeah, we only play with the core rulebooks so i prefer if you have something out of those. but if there's a real awesome item in another book I am willing to look that one up. info: gnome, druid: alignment: neutral stats: STR 10, DEX 10, CON 18, INT 10, WIS 16, CHA 12 AC: riding dog party role: no specific role I welcome all suggestions. thanks, meriadoc

PhaedrusXY 09-13-07, 10:36 PM	AC can also mean Animal Companion, not just Armor Class... A Monk's Belt is a great buy. Have someone strap it onto you after you Wild Shape.
Kouk 09-14-07, 01:24 AM	Well, I think more information about your desired playstyle would help. Judging by your 18 CON, I would assume you are planning on being Wild Shaped a lot? When you get to the point where you can Wild Shape, there are items called Wilding Clasps which attach to your magic items and allow them to continue functioning while you are Shaped, and also armor enchantments that do the same (Wild enchantment or Beastskin I think). The clasps are in the Magic Item Compendium, and also another book (I think Masters of the Wild 3.0? Not sure). In your "humanoid" form, I would say just standard stuff like some decent armor, and WIS boosting items. Charged items like Wands of Cure Light Wounds, and Scrolls of various spells you don't think you will want to prepare on a daily basis but could be useful. If you spend a lot of time in Humanoid form, you may want Boots of Striding and Springing, but then, you seem to have a Riding Dog to move you around...
