| ishpu06-09-07, 12:41 PM | i was looking through my sandstorm book and went through the equipment on page 96 and happend to notice that they misprinted the damage of a scropion tail whip as 1d43 lol... just thought you guys would enjoy that. |
| bigsnarf06-09-07, 02:03 PM | I saw that today at the bookstore,we all know its 1d4,1d3.But what if its not, what if its some super weapon the eggheads at WotC came up with so they can rule the known world?!Im locking the door to my bombshelter as we speak! |
| Salla06-09-07, 02:08 PM | I just spent twenty bucks on a d43. If I can't use it, I'm going to be very irritated. I'm kidding. |
| Jaxgaret06-09-07, 06:33 PM | Q: How does one roll a d43? A: Very carefully. :rimshot: Just as trivia, 4d10 is equal to 1d43 in terms of average damage. |
| Tempest Stormwind06-09-07, 06:48 PM | The "dawizard" misprint was better. |
| Jaxgaret06-09-07, 07:16 PM | The "dawizard" misprint was better. Ha ha, that one is awesome. http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=11877733&postcount=5 http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=12110849&postcount=19 |
| Lotus Crane06-09-07, 08:34 PM | Is it even physically possible to manufacture a perfectly 43-sided polyhedron? |
| Nezkrul06-09-07, 08:52 PM | my favorite misprint was the skill points for the Swordsage (6 + int mod) x6 at first level. - lol |
| Tectorman06-09-07, 09:50 PM | My favorite: the character class Kundala from the BoEF, RAW, is not proficient with anything. No starting weapon or armor proficiencies, nor even a line of text saying as much. |
| cato06-09-07, 10:29 PM | Is it even physically possible to manufacture a perfectly 43-sided polyhedron? I have seen a d100! that kinda works :p |
| Goreg Skullcrusher06-09-07, 10:57 PM | I'm pretty fond of the Vigilante from CAdv. How else can I cast 30+ 3rd level spells by level 12? |
| Salla06-09-07, 11:02 PM | I have seen a d100! that kinda works :p I think polyhedrons have to have an even number of sides to be regular, though. :) |
| AAB06-09-07, 11:13 PM | a d10 isn't a regular polyhedron, though, is it? |
| Vaelan06-10-07, 12:35 AM | Is it even physically possible to manufacture a perfectly 43-sided polyhedron? Sure, but it won't be a regular polyhedron. It probably won't be a fair die either. |
| Someone06-10-07, 01:45 AM | Sure, but it won't be a regular polyhedron. It probably won't be a fair die either.Well, at that point you're probably rolling a 43-sided tube with rounded edges. |
| Tommyboy06-10-07, 01:48 AM | The bite attack of a Mountain Landwyrm in the Draconomicon is 4d18. |
| Jaxgaret06-10-07, 01:49 AM | 6d8-5 has the same average roll (22), high roll (43), and low roll (1) as 1d43. The probability curve is different, though. |
| zzo3806-10-07, 09:49 AM | a d10 isn't a regular polyhedron, though, is it? You are right, d10 is the only dice in the set that isn't a Platonic solid. |
| JadeSpider964306-10-07, 11:37 AM | You are right, d10 is the only dice in the set that isn't a Platonic solid. But you could use a d20 and just number it twice with 1-10 (or 1-0) |
| Peregrine_Wolf06-10-07, 11:51 AM | Not that great, but in the Complete Adventurer, on page 168 in the Daggerspell Gaurdians "Lore of the Guild" section, the second sentence mispells the word daggers by putting a w on the end- daggersw....... Also, the Vigilante get like 20 spells at level 3 =) |
| SephDragoon06-10-07, 11:59 AM | my favorite misprint was the skill points for the Swordsage (6 + int mod) x6 at first level. - lol Haha, hey, I play that as raw :P. |
| Fallenangel35906-10-07, 03:14 PM | oddly saw, so do I. I don't consider it misbalanced either, except in really high stat games. Oh we are starting a 18000xp with 2 18s, 2 16s, and 2 14s (oh okay, I'll buy off a level of tiefling) |
| Aryxbez06-10-07, 04:37 PM | i was looking through my sandstorm book and went through the equipment on page 96 and happend to notice that they misprinted the damage of a scropion tail whip as 1d43 lol... just thought you guys would enjoy that. I was the first in my group to ever notice this, this in my opinion is much funnier than the Dawizard or the Psionics thing, since that actually sounds believable. However we all have different opinions. |
| RavenDrake06-10-07, 07:42 PM | Actually, this misprint isn't that signifigant... they simply failed to put the 3 in superscript(to indicate it deals non-lethal damage) in that line... Really, though, all you'd have to do is roll a d84 (or D66 for small) and then halve the value. :D |
