| mt_hoodman12-17-06, 02:14 PM | I have a monsterous character who is in disguise with the group that he is adventuring with. I have 36000 gold to start with (9th lvl) and need some help with what I should give him for equipment. I have: Hat of disguise (1800) and a disguise kit (50). So that leaves 35150 to buy equipment with. What would you go with? I would like to keep CHA at its peak as to keep the party from noticing that I am a monsterous. I have some ideas but I thought the community would have some better ones. Here is some background: race: witchknife (athame) Class: 9 lvls of monsterous humanoid - 3 to go before I get to classes. Unknown what I will go into after my MH lvls. Prof w/ light armor and simple weapons vulnerable to sonic/ resist fire 5 nat armor +2 Thanks for your help! |

If you want to make use of your high Charisma, I'd suggest putting the maximum ranks in Use Magic Device and taking the Magical Aptitude feat. Then buy a Cloak of Charisma (+2 or +4, depending on what you can afford) and a bunch of magic wands. You won't succeed all the time, but mostly you'll be able to function as a wand caster. Once you have a bunch of wands you'll be able to give yourself magical buffs that should function almost as well as permanent magical equipment. |
