| Dragonsbane131310-06-04, 07:54 PM | What is the best weapon one of your characters has ever owned? My character had a +2 Icy Burst Holy Bane (evil outsiders), kama. |
| Fixxxer10-06-04, 11:55 PM | Believe it or not...it was a basic, non-masterwork club. |
| Dark1ord10-07-04, 12:22 AM | a composite longbow, +2, +1d6 lightning damage. it had a small servant in it too (little grey humanoid spellcaster thingee) that could be summoned... oh, and a huge demon of sorts that used the bow as a link to the wielder. after the demon was set free (yeah it used that link to take over my character, hehe), the bow lost the lightning damage. however, the bow was able to grow in/regain power by performing it's main task: killing elves (yes, drow too). the servant would gain power by this, and the bow would grant additional abilities than those it already did - initially uncanny dodge and detect elves. ;) |
| wolfhawk10-07-04, 12:48 AM | What is the best weapon one of your characters has ever owned?Which edition? My best weapon ever was the Mighty Axe Kneebiter. It started out as a normal axe (no masterworking in 1st ed) that just kept missing untill my Dwarf character got tired of all of the short jokes the opponents were making. He declared a called attack to the knees and in 4 rounds obliterated 2 opponents (double their total hp, just to their knees), killed 1 outright (more than total hp, but not double), and dropped the 4th (damage from my 1st level dwarf to 3rd level badguy fighter's knees exactly equalled his hps). It eventually got enchanted to remove the called shot-penalty for attacks against knees, and if any damage it did removed opponents movement in proportion to the damage done/vs opponents max hp. Current (3.5 edition), my primary character (elven monk, with UA weapon groups) has a masterworked mighty (+2) composite greatbow that has additional masterworked components from the non-core heroes of high favor series (no magic, but 1d10+2 damage, half weight, and 130 foot range increment) |
| The WarOverlord10-07-04, 05:52 AM | What is the best weapon one of your characters has ever owned? My character had a +2 Icy Burst Holy Bane (evil outsiders), kama. Ppppppt, Forget my PCs I own a William Wallace Claymore, a Spiked Mace, a hand Crossbow, a Blowgun, a Halbard with a metal pole that opens up into a Short Spear (with the Halbard top usable as a Axe), a long sword with a Crystal Handle along with some other long swords, a Wakashi, a Katana, various short swords, and a Dagger that has a slingshot as part of it's shealth. :D |
| Fixxxer10-07-04, 09:11 AM | Ppppppt, Forget my PCs I own a William Wallace Claymore, a Spiked Mace, a hand Crossbow, a Blowgun, a Halbard with a metal pole that opens up into a Short Spear (with the Halbard top usable as a Axe), a long sword with a Crystal Handle along with some other long swords, a Wakashi, a Katana, various short swords, and a Dagger that has a slingshot as part of it's shealth. :D Sounds very much like you've spent some time browsing through the BudK catalogue. |
| Kyy'Dakh10-07-04, 10:31 AM | Since I've glanced at the weapon weight topic, how much does some of that stuff weigh? I'm curious about the katana and wakizashi, specifically. |
| wolfhawk10-07-04, 02:46 PM | Since I've glanced at the weapon weight topic, how much does some of that stuff weigh? I'm curious about the katana and wakizashi, specifically. Look in the DMG on Asian weapons. I don't know where this is in 3.5, but in 3.0 it's on p.161 Katana is listed at 6lbs Wakizashi is listed at 3lbs |
| Kyy'Dakh10-07-04, 02:59 PM | The implication I got from his post was that he owns, in RL, the weapons he listed. What I'm curious about how much the real things weigh. |
| wolfhawk10-07-04, 04:18 PM | The implication I got from his post was that he owns, in RL, the weapons he listed. What I'm curious about how much the real things weigh. Ah, sorry, misunderstood that. |
| Kyy'Dakh10-07-04, 04:36 PM | That's okay. Misunderstandings are a part of life on forums. |
| digoraccoon10-07-04, 07:39 PM | Van Gogh - My +1 paintbrush with a hidden pop-out dagger. ^_^ |
| obrysii10-07-04, 10:37 PM | My best was a +3 Brilliant Energy scimitar. |
| Aeroz_Grudo10-07-04, 11:39 PM | Right now my character has 'Thunder' which is a large claymore that has +5 to break an object, 'Lightning' which is a MW Mighty Comp. Longbow +3 that adds 1d6 lightning damage. Both are a set that were givin to me by my father. I also have 'Kalifander' which is a large greatsword that is Shocking burst, Keen, and Dragonbane. And i have a Vorpal Greatsword +1. But other than those my favorite weapon is an Axe i created when i was DM oh so long ago that was named...'The Feuker'. I did not give it this name but my friends did after they saw what it did. It was a +2 Handaxe that on a successful hit the enemy had to make a fortitude save of DC 15 or start convulsing for 1d4 rounds. Of course as the night grew late they decided to make the axe...a deity. They began worshipping it and it was just cazy. Now it is its own Diety in our world and has a smaller henchman called the 'Feuktor' and has just gone out of control. |
| Mrvice10-08-04, 03:17 PM | The character I'm playing right now has a +1 mercurial greatsword of flaming burst. |
| The WarOverlord10-08-04, 05:30 PM | Since I've glanced at the weapon weight topic, how much does some of that stuff weigh? I'm curious about the katana and wakizashi, specifically. The Katana is about 5lb with the weight Balanced twoard the base of the blade.....very comfy to swing and can do balancing trick with 1 finger at the center of the Sword, just don't swing it near clotheslines  The Wakashi is about 2.5lb and the weight is distributed evenly in the blade and handle giving the swing of the thing "meaning". (Feels almost as "heavy" as the Katata when swinging......actually the Katana feels a litle "lighter" in the hand) |
| DM Zoc10-08-04, 08:23 PM | The first game I was in was a Monty-Haul welcome-to-the-system (2E)campaign. In it, I received a Holy Avenger, a Mace of Disruption, and a Sunblade. The Sunblade led to many amusing ideas, mostly involving pixies. That was a silly campaign. Since then, I've never played a non-caster past 3rd level. I suppose my best weapon would have been the non-masterwork sling staff that I used to smite some huge CR 17 slug thingy single-handedly. Edit: Sun Blades are still treated as short swords even in 3.5, right? Why aren't we inundated with fighter-builds like two-weapon-fighting with greater specialization in both short and hand-and-an-half swords? |
| kirsdarke10-08-04, 09:47 PM | my best right now is probably my +4 crafty shortsword. crafty is nerw ability my DM made, +1d6 normal weapon damage when flanking i love it! im maybe gonna call it stormblade... any other suggestions... im loving other ppls. |
| Milo Goodbarrel10-09-04, 01:19 AM | Keen, Souldrinking Kukri. Keen + Improved Critical Kukri = Awesome Souldrinking = +2 Negative Levels to them and +1d8 HP and +2 Strength for me. : ) *love* |
| Illithid Tentacles10-09-04, 06:08 AM | Let's see. That would probably be the +3 Defending Short Sword that my human thief had back in 2E AD&D S&P. Apparently it was also Keen or Vorpal or something, because it could cut through anything. The scabbard was wrapped in some kind of black silk rope that he could throw at anything and have it stick. Needless to say, it was more than useful. It was named Steel Shank. He traded a buckler that could cast Magic Missile for it and a quiver of infinite arrows. |
| JBW10-09-04, 12:27 PM | "Best" is a tough call, but my favorite is a +4 Bane (Construct) Adamantine Heavy Flail. I liked this one enough to spend a Feat learning proficiency in it (character is a Cleric). Jay |
| Duke Lupo10-09-04, 01:09 PM | Mine would be the heavy mace my Cleric used. We used the Weapon Xp. table from an issue of Dragon. We are now Epic, and after 48K plus xp it's a +9 Holy Heavy Mace. :D |
| Rntaboy10-09-04, 03:15 PM | Keen, Souldrinking Kukri. Keen + Improved Critical Kukri = Awesome Souldrinking = +2 Negative Levels to them and +1d8 HP and +2 Strength for me. : ) *love* Keen and Improved Critical do not stack. |
| Milo Goodbarrel10-09-04, 06:45 PM | You are so correct, if I was playing by 3.5 Edition rules. |
| Woas10-09-04, 08:12 PM | Believe it or not...it was a basic, non-masterwork club. Come on now, your not getting away with just saying that and not telling the story behind it. (Or if you already told the story behind it, providing a link to it) :D |
| ssvegeta55510-09-04, 08:19 PM | +1 battle axe of shock. And I got this weapon at level 2. |
| DM Zoc10-09-04, 08:58 PM | Come on now, your not getting away with just saying that and not telling the story behind it. (Or if you already told the story behind it, providing a link to it) :D It's a masterwork club, which is much better than a regular club. Not every DM hands out magical items so freely. |
| Rntaboy10-09-04, 09:04 PM | You are so correct, if I was playing by 3.5 Edition rules. Oh, sorry. So, you're just a munchkin, and not wrong. |
| The_one_wit_a_reason10-09-04, 09:30 PM | plus 15 explosive great ax :OMG! i hit a lvl 18 monk he exploded in a mushroom cloud of blood :twitch: |
| Wildonion10-09-04, 09:50 PM | Without going completely overboard: +2 Keen Longsword of <insert creature type> Bane. Going overboard: Longsword of True Strike |
| TempestofLesserDoom10-09-04, 10:28 PM | +2 Dragon Dread Longsword of Corruption :D |
| Wildonion10-09-04, 10:44 PM | My DM once rolled me a +5 Unholy Rapier, it was great! |
| Rntaboy10-10-04, 03:16 AM | I made a +5 Holy Axiomatic Maul of Shock once, it only cost me 48k. Kensai are awesome. |
| The_one_wit_a_reason10-10-04, 10:30 AM | in my epic campain our levl 32 wizard made a magic mace that droped his lvl to 13 the mace gave the weilder plus 20 strength and if it hits the opponent the body is filled with rats and is consumed from the inside :ayyyy!: |
| Wildonion10-10-04, 10:54 AM | I made a +5 Holy Axiomatic Maul of Shock once, it only cost me 48k. Kensai are awesome. Mine was free as starting equipment! The DM started us as Level 10 and rolled magic items whateer he rolled stuck I played a drow Wizard who (1 hour and 2 levels later) became a Lich. It was great! |
| firewalker10-10-04, 12:33 PM | The Katana is about 5lb with the weight Balanced twoard the base of the blade.....very comfy to swing and can do balancing trick with 1 finger at the center of the Sword, just don't swing it near clotheslines  The Wakashi is about 2.5lb and the weight is distributed evenly in the blade and handle giving the swing of the thing "meaning". (Feels almost as "heavy" as the Katata when swinging......actually the Katana feels a litle "lighter" in the hand) While you use the katana and the wakazashi IRL you might "swing" the swords but as a master of Ken Jushu (Art of the Blade) you are cutting. The swing is brute force while the cut is technic. |
| BladeMage_110-10-04, 02:18 PM | plus 15 explosive great ax :OMG! i hit a lvl 18 monk he exploded in a mushroom cloud of blood :twitch: hmmmm, now how on earth that smilie's jaw dropped sooo low, I don't know. :OMG! hmmmm..... |
| BladeMage_110-10-04, 02:23 PM | eh hem, anyway my best weapon is a +3 Shockburst scimitar. Also, I have a +4 keen Greatsword of speed for my Spellsword PC..... let me try this smilie thing.... :OMG! JAW-DROPPIN' FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| The_one_wit_a_reason10-11-04, 06:13 PM | one of my favorite weopons was my half orcs 5 icy composite longbow set to strength 20 :D |
| Brent10-11-04, 06:39 PM | Hmm... Well once when playing with a newb DM he gave me a staff called Arrahkas that had the following stats (We were like level 6) : Add your intelligence bonus to attack and damage rolls as well as your strength with Arrahkas. When wielding Arrahkas you may, as a partial action, produce a 40ft cone of electricity that deals 5d6 damage, the enemy(ies) must then make a strength check VS the damage dealt +5 or get knocked back 20 ft. As a move equivalent action anyone who wields Arrahkas may summon 1 Iron Golem, 2 Flesh Golems or 3 Stained Glass Golems. No more then 1 Iron Golem, 2 Flesh Golems or 3 Stained Glass Golems may be summoned at once. Golems may not attack anyone wielding Arrahkas. Now, with the same DM who has become an actually good DM, I have a +1 Keen Maul. |
| FFTGeist10-11-04, 08:50 PM | I DM a bit to much, but the strongest weapon i ever handed out was a.... *drumroll* +2 adamantite mercurial flaming burst greatsword that had an immoveable rod as the hilt. :mymy: He was a very happy lvl 9 fighter... Hmmm i belive i've gotten a little better at handing out treasure comparable to their level now :D |
| FatGnome10-13-04, 12:05 AM | Silvered Daggers of returning... Kept shiny so they were used to look around corners, keep an eye on some stuff I didn't want to look directly at, they were never lost, I had several at the same time so i could throw them to my hearts content... Besides silvered daggers just look cool. (As a rogue/Invis Blade SA was great) |
| The WarOverlord10-13-04, 07:48 AM | Sounds very much like you've spent some time browsing through the BudK catalogue. Oh, I go to Flee markets and look for a weapons dealer, go to shops that sell medievil stuff, and so on. Yeah, BUD K is pretty cool, but the Excalibur's Marketplace (Casino Hotel in Vegas) got a Glass Sword I was trying to buy but it wasn't for sale  |
| The WarOverlord10-13-04, 07:57 AM | [QUOTE=Dragonsbane1313]What is the best weapon one of your characters has ever owned? QUOTE] Okay. Actually my Characters are quirky and each of them got their" own Preferences" In Forgotten Realms my PCs prefer Silver Longswords +5 with a Silver Shield +5 (Mirrored for reflect attacks) In Sossoria My PC preferes the "Demon Sword" (soul Traping sword that targets outsider souls) first and any kind of Halbard when that isn't availible. In Neverwinter OC my PC was a Xencian Monk so no weapons (Magic or "iron Finger" only ) In NWN:SOU it was any kind of Spear In NWN:HOTU was any kind of 2 Handed Sword IN "Dark Alliance" my PC liked the +3 mithral morning star of Disruption In all cases a favorite weapon may be used though their are more powerful weapon (Like the PC in Dark Alliance using +3 Mithral morning star of Disruption over +5 Amadite? Mace) |
| KaptainKangaroo10-26-04, 01:08 PM | My favorite weapon is the Krobar. Since crowbars can be used as light clubs, a huge crowbar is the equivalent of a huge club, and basically the same as a maul. There's no magic involved yet and it still kills just about everything it hits in one swing, including doors and chests. Next to that is my portable battering ram which I keep with me at all times, in the rare ocassion that the Krobar doesn't work. I also used the double-whammy lacerator, which was a huge double-bladed(not the conventional way, but rather both blades facing the same direction) Axe that had a fire/acid enhancement on one blade and a Ice/Shock enhancement on the other. Ordinarily that's a lot of enhancements for one weapons, but, through the use of a smithy we bent a double axe so that both blades faced the one way, thus allowing them to keep their enhancements, and also making it huge, requiring monkey fist and two hands to weild. In the end it hit for 4d8+17(Big Half-orc) and 4d6 enhancement damage. |
| Thanatos0210-26-04, 05:20 PM | These are all very impressive, but the most reliable weapons I've ever had was a torch. Set in a Ravenloft game where the characters had hired themselves out as the Martira Bay Huntsman, we were frequently strapped for cash or forced to act on a second, which resulted in a lot of improvised weaponry. We found that a torch, as an improvised weapon, was a -1 club that you could light on fire. Essentially, -1d6+1d4 (fire). My ranger, Riley, decided it made a fine off-hand weapon. (Two-weapon fighting) It served as a stake for vampires (when hastily sharpened), a light source, a door jam, a throwing weapon, ect. We went through a lot of torches. Later on, Riley commissioned a special "Huntsman's Torch" which was balanced to be used as a weapon, fueled by burning oil which a sharpened, reinforced butt to stake with. It wasn't as popular because it was so much larger, but it explains why Riley ended up with Exotic Wep. Pro. (Big Torch) on his character sheet. |
| Uber Goblin10-26-04, 10:48 PM | Keen + Improved Critical Kukri = Awesome I thought this doesn't stack according to the Core rules... Though I also belive there is a 3.0 obscure rule book that allows a weapon to be crafred keen by nature with a DC of 40 to create that will stack with Improved crit. Well, anyway, about that keen forging or Keen By nature. My group was attacked by a Psion Killer and when he was killed we made weapons out of him. I Got an oversized Scythe that was based on the Scythe my God uses. It threatens like the spike chain to boot. It is a Mono Blade weapon due to the crystal nature so It is naturaly Keen and stacks with my Improved Crit. feat. All in all it is not a magic weapon, just Naturaly +2 and keen. With everything It is a 3d4 6-20 X5 thats a +2. and yes, I have combat reflexes and Great Cleave! :) I AM A BLENDER! |
| Dire Celestial Bonobo10-27-04, 08:31 PM | The best weapon, of course, is your brain. (Only 1d2 non-lethal, and an exotic weapon proficiency, but they never suspect it...) |
| Melpomene10-27-04, 08:36 PM | Best weapon ever used was a pressure bomb raised four size catagories. That was fun. |
| macfry10-27-04, 09:34 PM | Maybe not the best, but my favorite was the +1 Thundering Mercurial Greatsword my level 9 Earth Genasi fighter had. It had a gem at the hilt that glowed green (IE earth) and was named Earth Pillar. |
| Maruuk10-27-04, 10:15 PM | Mine was Lightghost, An Intelligent +4 keen, shocking brillant energy rapier. |
| Nerfherder310-28-04, 01:16 AM | I also used the double-whammy lacerator, Hey Kapt'n is that name trademarked? |
| ghettohobbit10-28-04, 01:22 AM | Keen and Improved Critical do not stack. ah crap, thats guna screw my new build... has this been around prior to 3.5? Naturaly +2 and keen. With everything It is a 3d4 6-20 X5 thats a +2. base critical on a scythe is 20/x4, with kensei (kensai?) you get +2 to critical range, naturally keen (i assume this means doubled...) its doubled to 19-20, improved critical doubled to 18-20, keen by spell/magic, not naturally keen, another +1, a final of 15-20/x5 (increased modifier with kensei... care to explain how you got that down to 6-20?? |
| Uber Goblin10-28-04, 02:45 AM | I am playing a super high powered campaign. The original weapon is limited only to the dm's build. In essence it is an oversized, oversized blade, exceptionaly crafted scythe, Not so much as a war scythe that is well balanced for fighting, but something more exotic. It is not in the core rules, and its stats are as follows for the core weapon 3d4 16-20 X5 Thats the weapon, it is a messed up weapon I know. My Werebear had his rear handed to him from a group of 1-3hd skeletons useing these weapons. So, when I came back into the game with a new character I told the DM I wanted to use THAT weapon. But your right, core rules it doen't exsist. Try an Adamantine Blinking Spiked Chain of Paralysis. thats a favorite of mine for a rouge/ninja of the cresent moon character of mine :) |
| Bonzai10-28-04, 01:20 PM | My favorite was owned by a Rogue/wizard I played. It meshed perfectly with his style and abilities. +5 dagger with returning, distance, spell storing (usually vampiric touch), and wounding. Basically sold most of his loot and kept adding enhancements to it. Easily hidden, he could throw it, melee with it, and store a variety of spells into it. True strike and backstab worked real well. :D |
| Toptomcat10-28-04, 01:51 PM | My character in a d20 Modern game, a kendo master named Nakahira Musashi, has a Keen Katana +3...and its enhancements were non-magical. Handy stuff. |
| Sakaki2210-28-04, 03:10 PM | The best thing a DM ever gave me was a +5 Shocking Dwarven Urgosh of Speed that could also be used as a bardic instrument (electric guitar), gave me bonuses to my Perform, transformed me into a "demon" (skin turned black and white, tongue elongated...), and was one of four items that alowed half of the PCs to destroy the world. ..... At level three. (BTW, my character was a Cleric of Wee Jas) Okay, we were bored. I kept the character and downed the weapon to a +1 Shocking Burst Dwarven Urgosh of Speed that could be used as a bardic instrument (takes one round to clean after using it as a weapon). And made him a Cleric/Bard. |
| JohnSnow10-28-04, 05:19 PM | A few examples from multiple editions: 1st Edition A +5 Holy Avenger A +3 Vorpal Blade A Sunblade A +3 flaming hammer of throwing (Mjolnir's fiery twin, a gift from Odin) 2nd Edition The Sword of the Dales - IIRC a longsword +2/+4 versus magically animated creatures that magically opens all locks when the command word "Merrydale" is spoken. It was, however, possessed by a wannabe demi-shade most of the time I owned it. Nothing from 3e sticks out quite the same way. |
| crilley10-29-04, 03:40 AM | But other than those my favorite weapon is an Axe i created when i was DM oh so long ago that was named...'The Feuker'. I remember reading about that on livejournal, in D&D humor community lmao |
| Dracspero10-29-04, 12:10 PM | 1st Ed (AD&D) my paladin had a Frostbrand, I loved it. Eventually gave it up when I found a Holy Scimitar of Sharpness (I tried to explain to the GM that sharpness was a chaotic effect, and that it should be vorpal to be lawfull, but he wouldn't listen. |
| ziggy_killroy10-29-04, 01:02 PM | The best thing a DM ever gave me was a +5 Shocking Dwarven Urgosh of Speed that could also be used as a bardic instrument (electric guitar), gave me bonuses to my Perform, transformed me into a "demon" (skin turned black and white, tongue elongated...), and was one of four items that alowed half of the PCs to destroy the world. Gene Simmon's much? |
| Jontg10-30-04, 07:33 PM | Oh, let's see... how does a +30 Keen, Speed, Wounding, Ghost Touch mithral longsword sound? :D The wielder? Jonathanas Darkstar, a 120th-level elf Wizard. My first D&D character, and one that only retired a year ago, after five straight years of real time, and seven thousand years of game time. |
| guru789210-30-04, 08:03 PM | Oh, let's see... how does a +30 Keen, Speed, Wounding, Ghost Touch mithral longsword sound? :D The wielder? Jonathanas Darkstar, a 120th-level elf Wizard. My first D&D character, and one that only retired a year ago, after five straight years of real time, and seven thousand years of game time. your a loon, no really get out more ok best weapon... full blade... wait, i havent been in a campaighn where i have lvled more than once! WTF! and i've been in atleast 3... hope the next one is differnt (and it probably will be) |
| Jontg10-30-04, 11:24 PM | The 7K wasn't continuous--he spent a few dozen years adventuring, then settled down for another five hundred to reorganize his great-grandfather's secret society. After a hobgoblin called Bonedevil murdered most of them, Jonathanas slew him and vanished into the Far Realm for more than five thousand years. |
| Kang10-31-04, 01:57 AM | i was DMing this game and i got really bored so i made this guys axe get taken over by the spirit of a doppelganger and it could like transform into anything |
| SGT Jones10-31-04, 02:07 AM | Originally Posted by Jontg Oh, let's see... how does a +30 Keen, Speed, Wounding, Ghost Touch mithral longsword sound? Ummm...Munchie. |
| Gyrofthewastes10-31-04, 06:04 AM | I once, in the same game, handed out two very powerful but non-artifact weapons. The first was called the Morphplasm, and could effectively assume any type of armor or weapon with enhancement and enchantments adding up to +3 as a standard action (material type didn't change but as the weapon was made of a magical quicksilver, it always counted as being silvered). When given a straight-out enhancement bonus as a weapon, it added a further +2 to attack rolls as the weapon balance changed to suit the wielder's position in combat. The second was an intelligent (empathic) +4 vicious wounding thundering flaming burst long/bastard/greatsword (it chose a specific form and size when obtained by a new wielder and stayed that way) called "Ravager". It lived to kill, absolutely refused to be sheathed without shedding the blood of a sentient being, and didn't particularly care whether it hurt the enemy or the one holding it. Overpowered? Maybe, but fun. |
| The_Grikk10-31-04, 11:01 AM | i have a 19th lvl barb that has a +6/keen/flamming heavy great axe. 3d6+1d6 (19-20/x3) flamming damage. It takes a feet to weild without minuses but its worth it when i critical or use headlong charge. I used to have it heavy and macuriel so it was 3d6+1d6 (20/x4), but my DM decided that i would have to split up my feats (i took the one weopon as one exotiv feat, instead of a feat for heavy and another for mecurial). So i was forced to drop mecurial. i like it, i dont have much else but i like it. If i max in a charge i can do 344 damage. Ive never actually hit that hard (my top is 160 i think), but the potential is there. |
| Ankheg10-31-04, 12:54 PM | Hehe, my highest was my lv 3 Elf Rogue who had a masterwork dagger. Note: I am almost always a DM. |
| Jontg11-03-04, 01:52 PM | Ummm...Munchie. Did you catch the part about Jonathanas being 120th-level? Munchie would have been spending his whole fortune on a +80 bazillion fullblade of killanythingwithonehitness, and letting him wield it one-handed with no proficiency. Reasoning that he had been alone in the Far Realm for five millenia, I limited his arsenal to items he could craft himself--and not one point of XP that went into that thing wasn't earned in good, solid combat. Trust me, I'm no munchkin--I'm a roleplayer to the core! |
| Argo_Deathcross11-04-04, 12:06 PM | My best weapon would have to be a plus, i cant remember the plus for it, Great sword. My best character wielded it. he had a 32 strength. The magical properties for this weapon were wounding, brilliant energy, and holy. All this stuff on a sword wielded by a half-orc barbarian with 32 strength. TADA mythril need to break down that brick wall? KaSlam!!! adamantin someone broke your sword in a epic battle? full round action and it can be put backtogether (it might be a standard) down on your life? just kill some one and kill them extreem and you will be as good as new. very cool for kensais that a loaners thoese or want to be more or less self sufficent. all you need is a aurorim fullbade. thats the hard part. around 3400 gp (masterwork) |

| Venom of the Yuan Ti11-15-04, 06:34 AM | Keen, Souldrinking Kukri. Keen + Improved Critical Kukri = Awesome Hate to break this to you but Keen and Improved Critical DO NOT stack, read the feat and weapon bonus descriptions, it states it does not stack with other increaeses to multiplyers, don't ask me why but they don't. |
| Venom of the Yuan Ti11-15-04, 06:39 AM | My character got hold of the bow (+3, gnerates an arrow of death(any creature you target) when drawn) and sword (+5 Dancing great sword) of a solar. I can't think why My DM let me get my hands on them, although I needed monkey Grip / a perminant Enlarge Person to use them, it was very funny when I manadged to kill four :behold: in a round. Best I handed out as a DM though was an intelignet +1 Dancing vorpial Great sword, well I say the best, Name The Executioner, Ego 30somthing Dedicated porposes to destroy all life, dedicated power power word kill 1/day, Alignment CE. They took it off the villan who was using it before discovering the sword was the mastermind of the plots. That was fun, a level 14 fighter decapatating HIMSELF. :schemes:  |
| Orrick11-15-04, 05:54 PM | a +4 speed, impact quarterstaff for my level 10 ranger not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 but 5 attacks a round. |
| Giancarlo11-16-04, 10:33 AM | I have played two characters. The Cleric had a +4 Holy heavy flail until he got the Hammer of Thunderbolts. What an awesome weapon! Played him to Cleric 25 before retiring. My current is 17th Level Paladin of Heironeous. Holy Avenger is sweet. It works with a straight Paladin build. I am trying to strengthen it up with Lawful, get the full Greater Dispel Magic, or get the SR up to 10+Paladin Level. Something to help me out since Paladins are the most shafted class higher up. |
