| sabino08-29-06, 10:07 PM | what are the biggest... two handed sword two blades sword axe two swords in two weapon fighting a medium size character can use with a sufficient weapon proficiency in place |
| Seerow08-29-06, 10:08 PM | Exactly one size larger than himself. |
| Jay_Ibero_91108-29-06, 10:11 PM | I don't know about blades, but with exotic weapon Proficiency (Warmace), monkey grip, and oversized two-weapon fighting, you'll be wielding 3d6+1d12 worth of weapon between two hands. That's a lot of bludgeoning there. |

| Seerow08-29-06, 10:32 PM | If that's all you want to do, play a charger instead. |
| Drodain08-29-06, 10:44 PM | Or you could get a DM who lets, powerful build, monkey grip, and wield oversized weapon. Also gives you a weapon for a +2 bonus is one size larger, and decides to use the d10(IIRC) growth in the arms and equipment guide, bringing the damage up to 12d6+1.5 Str+other enhancements. LOL, my DM cried when he realized what he'd done, ha not really he thought it was hilarious how badly he'd messed up when he told me what stacked. Sorry back on topic. -Big Full Blade(Monkey Gripped) -IDK(Monkey Gripped) -Long Ax or Great Ax(Monkey Gripped) -Warmaces(Monkey Gripped, and Oversized Offhand Weapon)[See Jay Ibero 911] |
| xver08-29-06, 11:23 PM | Well, the biggest blade you can really get is to Monkey Grip a Full Blade intended for a large creature, which does 3d8 damage, provided you're allowed to use Monkey Grip with a Full Blade. (I've seen some heated debates on this and related subjects). You can't use Monkey Grip with a double weapon. Therefore, a standard sized Two-Bladed Sword is the best you can manage. I don't think there's a Full Axe, so the best you can manage by the RAW is to Monkey Grip a Greataxe intended for a large creature. That will get you 3d6. If you where to extrapolate (or find) a Full Axe, a large version would do 3d8, same as a large Full Blade. As for weilding two swords, the liberal answer is that you can use a normal Bastard Sword in your off hand and Monkey Grip an oversized Bastard Sword in your primary hand. This gives you 1d10 in your off hand and 2d8 in your primary hand. Others have argued that you can't weild a Bastard Sword intended for a large creature in one hand, so it isn't possible. I think it is, but the exact answer depends on how one interprets the Bastard Sword's size catagory. Also, if you play a race with Powerful Build you can increase all of the above one size catagory. At least, I think you can, I don't have access to any of the books with Powerful Build in them, so I don't know how it interacts with Monkey Grip. |
| Seerow08-29-06, 11:26 PM | It doesn't stack with monkey grip. |
| Damionte08-29-06, 11:43 PM | Powerful Build and Monkey Grip don't stack. I'd go with the full blade on a race with poweful build. Half Giants (Psionics handbook) Goliath (Races Of Stone) Oversized two weapon fighting. Using standard sized weapons. They'll go 3d6+Variables on both hands. No need to go weapon spec on this one like you would with say a pair of short swords. They do enough damage with just the 3d6+??. Use your other feats for tricks. |

| Thorak08-29-06, 11:46 PM | And in almost every case, if you just take Power Attack and use a regular, everyday greatsword sized properly, you'll do better damage. |
