The first of these gauntlets were made by Bigby who wished to have a long lasting tool available with greater range of dexterous ability to manipulate large objects and attack at distance without expending spells unnecessarily to handle small threats.
The gauntlet requires a standard action to activate but it is a free action to dismiss the Force hand.
The force hand functions as the spell Bigby’s Crushing Hand except it does not attack or act in anyway on its own. All actions must be made by the wearer of the gauntlet it does not automatically follow or interpose if the wearer is not spending a full round action concentrating on one target. Anything that would fool the wearer or remove the Target from the users awareness (Blinding the wearer, turning Invisible, effective distraction/hiding actions full cover, total concealment) bypasses the force hand’s interposing ability.
One gauntlet is able to carry/lift overhead 6,400 lbs. and push/drag 32,000 lbs. These numbers are doubled when using two gauntlets on one object.
Any action that can be done with one hand is available to the wearer. Two gauntlets allows full use of actions, skills & attacks that need two hands.
The Gauntlet has a range of 270 ft. radius centered on the caster and can not move or reach beyond 270 ft. however objects can be thrown from the edge of the radius farther out or inside it.
Caster lvl 17 cost to create one gauntlet 1,101,600 gp market price 2,203,200 gp

Bigby’s apprentices created many lesser versions of these gauntlets

What do you think?

Ok so apparently an epic item is not worth comment .
Dose anyone at least see the potential of it?
The coolness of blocking attacks, sweeping aside lesser foes like chaff in the wind, squeezing the life out of the impertinent fools who believe they may oppose you, Opening Colossal sized stone doors with a wave of your hand.

Such things are classic of powerful casters but what use is it to a fighter?
Besides doing all the things previously mentioned how would you like to wield a colossal sized great sword? Or bow?

You could fly around by picking yourself up many other things.

Any opinions?

OK, it is cool, but I just like things simple and direct.

If you made a glove that simply did Bigby's crushing hand with out the extras and limitations you had, it would cost like 275,400.
Math, uggg! (Caster 17 x spell level 9 x 1800 for command word activated)

Or maybe it would be better as 1,224,000 (Caster 17 x spell level 9 x 2000 for use activated x 4 for duration in rounds)

I could get that and a ring of telekinesis and do all the things your item does, better and cheaper.

Sorry. Just my opinion.

No need to apologize but the ring would be of much less utility as it has a weight limit of 375 lbs..
I love the T ring but the gauntlets light load ( check pg 162 PHB for rules) is 6,400 lbs. a significant difference don’t you think?

And you can’t move objects faster than 20 ft. around with the ring unless you Telekinetic thrust them. There is no such limit to the gauntlets movement with its radius so you can wield objects/weapons as normal

Do things like juggle 2,000 lbs. boulders, grab large size dragons out of the sky and pluck them!

Iver you have just given me an idea for a BBEG picture a mid level NPC dosen't really matter the class getting a hold of one of these gauntlets. Such items have turned fighters into bandit kings and wizards into insane despots of a town. I thank you for the ideas that are now running through my head and I'm sure my players will curse your name. hope that last part makes your day :D

Gauntlet of the Apprentice

The first of these gauntlets were made by Bigby who wished to not be distracted by his apprentices who needed to move large pieces of laboratory equipment for him, or handle unruly test specimens or lowly intruders.
The gauntlet requires a standard action to activate but it is a free action to dismiss the Force hand.
The force hand functions as the spell Bigby’s Forceful Hand except it does not attack or act in anyway on its own.
Any action that can be done with one hand is available to the wearer. Two gauntlets allows full use of actions, skills & attacks that need two hands.
The Gauntlet has a range of 210 ft. radius centered on the caster and can not move or reach beyond 210 ft. however objects can be thrown from the edge of the radius farther out or inside it. One gauntlet with it’s Strength of 27 as a large creature can carry/lift 2,080 lbs. and push/drag 10,400 lbs..
Caster lvl 11 cost to create one gauntlet 475,200 gp market price 950,400 gp

Tell me if ya love it or hate it and why please! :)

Sounds like a very fun item. Could make a weak person much more potent as Solamar mentioned. But also takes time to use. You said it can't attack, but possibly use a big weapon? Kinda contradictory, since one is just an attack with something in your hand. Either way, I do like it overall.

What is meant by it can't attack is, you can’t call the hand forth and have it attack independently from you.
The gauntlets wearer must make the motions required for the desired actions. To attack with a grapple for instance she must reach out at the foe and grab at them this takes one of the attacks afforded by the gauntlets.
Too wield a Colossal sized sword one must pick it up with the hand or hands gesturing as if you were doing it and make swinging motions with it when you wish to attack and so on.

The force hands are to duplicate every hand motion of the Wearer moving around as you move your arms up/down in/out.

What do you think of making a 4th lvl spell that makes a medium sized hand?
