10-05-05, 10:39 AM i know this is a stupid question but i guess i'm blind... where do we find the pricing for weapons larger then normal? (Ie. a Large greatsword, Huge Greataxe, ect...)

10-05-05, 10:43 AM From the SRD, Equiptment section:

This cost is the same for a Small or Medium version of the weapon. A Large version costs twice the listed price.

And of course, special material costs are affected by the change in weight:

This column gives the weight of a Medium version of the weapon. Halve this number for Small weapons and double it for Large weapons.

I believe the general rule is double the cost for each category above Medium. I would keep the base price the same for weapons smaller than Small, but reduce any extra costs for special materials..

Darkwood costs 10GP per pound.
Dragonhide costs double the masterwork-version cost of the regular armor.
Cold iron costs double the cost of the weapon (doesn't say about masterwork like dragonhide, I guess it's up to the DM).
Mitrhal is 500GP per pound, except for armor and shields, that have a fixed cost.

since you double the cost and the weight of a weapon when the size is increased, you would double the cost on the Darkwood, Dragonhide, Cold Iron and Mitrhal.

Adamantine and Alchemical silver doesn't have a price modifier that can be based on weight.

Alchemical Silver has a price modifier that varies on the weapon size (light, one-handed, two-handed)
Adamantine weapons cost 3000 GP, doesn't matter if it is a dagger or a Greatsword.

I was thinking that this two need some adjusment to it's priceing, so it can fit into the others format, that seems more logic to me, and more adapatable.

anyone have an idea on this?
