Bigger than a Greataxe [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-27-05, 02:19 AM I want to play a warrior with an air of strength and power about him. I plan on using a greataxe, which is large. Does Monkey grip or powerful build allow me to wield a bigger than normal greataxe? or am I reading them both wrong?

06-27-05, 03:51 AM They both let you use a sized weapon one larger than yours but sadly they dont stack

Wield Oversized Weapon is your friend.

06-27-05, 07:53 AM They'd allow you to wield a LARGE great-axe, but not a HUGE one. Just to clarify (unless you're using 3.0 - as it has different weapon sizing rules).

Either Monkey Grip or Powerful Build would allow you to use a weapon that is 1 size larger than your character is. If you are a medium character then you could use a large weapon, if you are large, you could use a huge weapon.
