Bizar and potentialy stupid [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-23-06, 02:42 PM Two things really. First I want to ask if anyone who has read 8-bit theater has ever thought about actually creating Fighter's "Sword-Chucks" and if so, how would you do it? I remember seeing in a clip from a Kenshin OVA a Katana with a chain on the end and it reminded me of the sword-chucks.

The other thing is from Avatar. There was a really big guy with two small war-hammers chained to his belt so that he could throw them around and then pull them back to him.

I'm not very good at setting up stats so I think I'll just leave it open for others to do.

10-18-06, 12:26 PM Simplest way to create swordchucks, IMO, is to use the stats for a flail and change the damage to slashing. Badda bing, badda boom.

For the chain-hammer-thingy, I'd probably do something like attack out to fifteen feet (like a whip), provokes AoO (like any other thrown weapon), move action to retrieve the hammer.

Or just call it a Light Hammer with the Returning ability.
