I can't find anything anymore.

Have they republished bladed gauntlets or do we use the Sword and Fist one?

I would assume its very similar to the bladed bracers (1d4) in the Arms and Equipment manual. I personally think your better left with spiked gauntlets my self, more functional but not as much fun.

S & F one is that 17-20/x2, damage 1d6, 4 pound, slashing, light weapon?

And nope they haven't redone a good version of it.

mostly because it being finesible, 1d6, and 17-20/x2 is pretty strong.

Sure it was exotic, but the country that made that should be winning most wars lol.

It's corrected in errata.
And there also is a corrected version in Arms & Equipment Guide.

Except now it is too weak.

I mean if it was 1d6, 18-20/x2, it would be worth exotic but now it is weak.

If you play FR, Tiger's Claw is 1d6(18-20/x2), which looks very similar to Bladed Gauntlet.
Furthermore, since it is made of stone, it is immune to acid and rust.
But it is to be disarmed, because it is not a gauntlet.

Tigers claw sounds like a better way to do Blade Guantlet.

1d6, 19-20/x2 is a shortsword, why would anyone use up a exotic slot for a short sword? Who would use a shortsword that is exotic but is no better than as shortsword?
The errata for Bladed Guantlet can't be right...

I think it's balanced fine as a 1d6 19-20/x2.

As a gauntlet, it can't be disarmed and you can use that hand for other things. It's a specialized use to be sure, but it's still better than a martial weapon.

THere are norules that say you can't disarm a guantlet unless you found one. Show please :D

It is weaker than a martial weapon because exotic proficiency not martial. You must use up a feat no matter what unlike shortsword which even rogues get.

It also helps to be able to TWF and still have hands free to cast spells, use magic items, drink potions, ect.

If I remember correctly it says so in the weapon's description, othewise thats just common sense. If you honestly believe a lack of a specific ruling overrides your common senses, quit playing RPGs.

Look under the Disarm, page 155:

"A defender wearing spiked gauntlets can't be disarmed. A defender using a weapon attached to a locked gauntlet (page 124) gets a +10 bonus to resist being disarmed"

It's porely worded (it could be interpereted to mean that spiked gauntlets make you immune to being disarmed of anything as long as you're wearing them), but the best interperetation is that you can't be disarmed of gauntlet weapons.

False, check under Gauntlet and Bladed Gauntlet: you'll notice no prohibiting diarming.

Now check under Spiked Gauntlet: You'll notice you can't disarm them.

No, the best interpretation is you can't be disarmed of spiked gauntlets. And locked Guantlets give +10 bonus to Disarm checks for weapon locked to gauntlet. It is possible to diarm sword locked to gauntlet but hard.

Those are the best and most accurate interpretation due to actually being the wording listed.

Granted the Locked guantlet doesn't prohibit disarming it...maybe Locked Gauntlet counts as armor? Can you disarm armor?

And commonsense? Pfft, bat guano equals a fireball? And someone mentions commonsense?
Lmao.

I don't know about bladed gauntlets, but technically an ordinary gauntlet attack is an unarmed strike; the gauntlet isn't really a weapon. (For instance, I don't believe you can put enhancement bonuses on it.) You can't disarm a gauntlet because you can't disarm unarmed strikes or armor.

Spiked gauntlets are an excellent weapon. 1d6/19-20x2 is perfectly reasonable for an exotic weapon.

You can masterwork and enhance Gauntlets. You can't enhance unarmed strikes because you can't masterwork them as far as I can see.

Gauntlets are weapons.

Gauntlet: This metal glove lets you deal lethal damage rather than nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes. A strike with a gauntlet is otherwise considered an unarmed attack.

As I read it, this is pretty clear that attacking with a gauntlet is like an unarmed strike in all respects except that it causes lethal damage. And as you point out, you can't enchant an unarmed strike.

Yes if you can find a masterwork Unarmed Strike you could enchant it but I've never found one.
You can masterwork a Gauntlet so you can enchant a gauntlet.
