Dear Boards:

Would you rule that a vampire's blood drain works on plants and oozes?

Technically, I think it does work because they have a constitution score and are not immune to ability drain.

But one could argue that they have no blood, so they cannot be blood drained. Rebuttal: the blood drain drains plasma in the case of oozes and plant juices in the case of plants.

If the ability says nothing about plasma or sap, then, no. Blood is blood; it's fundamentally different from sap or Ooze goo.
