Damage - 1d8 (bludgeoning)
Critical - x2
Type - One-handed exotic (can be used in two hands as a martial weapon)
Special - The bokken is a special monk weapon. It can also be used to deal nonlethal damage at no penalty.
Description - A finely crafted wooden sword that is just as deadly, in the right hands, as it's metal brethren .

Overpowered? Tell me what you think please.

Since its exotic I wouldnt say its over powered, but I dont think the monk should add her unarmed bonus to it though.

The only problem I have with it is that I don't see why it's a special monk weapon when the katana(that it's based on) isn't...

I'd make it 1d8, x2 damage and give it feat overlaping with the Katana.

I guess that's a good point. I'm not sure what you mean about feat overlapping with the Katana though, could you expound please?

I think he or she meant that feats like weapon focus would work for both Katans and Bokken. Kind of like how a Long Axe also counts as a Great Axe for purposes of feats.
