Couple of questions on bolstering undead.

Let's use an example for illustration. Say, a 9th level evil cleric with a half dozen shadows as minions.

Evil cleric wants to bolster the shadows. He rolls a (modified) 19, which gives you a result of "Cleric Level +3" on the turn/rebuke undead table.

What are the shadows' effective hit dice vs turning now?

(a) 12 HD = 9th level cleric + 3 from bolster attempt

(b) 14 HD = 9th level cleric + 3 from bolster attempt + 2 turn resistance

(c) 6 HD = 3 HD shadow + 3 from bolster attempt

(d) 8 HD = 3 HD shadow + 3 from bolster attempt + 2 turn resistance

Basically, does the HD bonus stack or overlap with the undead's normal turn resistance and does the cleric's level outright replace the undead's hit dice or does the bolster attempt just augment the undead's actual hit dice?

Also, does turning damage come into play at all in a bolster attempt? Is there a limit to how many undead within 60 feet you can bolster?

Does their new, bolstered hit die total only apply to a good cleric's turning check, or to the turning damage too? i.e. say (b) above is the correct answer and a good cleric tries to turn the six shadows...the cleric obviously has to get to at least a 14 HD undead turned to have any effect. But if the turning check is succesful, is each shadow then treated as a 3HD undead or does each shadow now count as a 14HD undead for purposes of turning damage?
