| Braids09-05-05, 12:22 AM | Tehehe Okay, I was recently nominated to be the DM of a second group and one player wants to play a Beastmaster [from Complete Adventurer]. He wants to know if he can take the feat Natural Bond for each animal companion that he can have. Does anybody think this would be a problem? Seems okay to me since he’d be using up 3-4 feat slots as well as 10 class levels to do it. |

| CryoSilver09-05-05, 03:38 PM | True, but every time he takes Natural Bond, he isn't taking Natural Spell, eh? |

Not really, considering that the latter 3 animal companions will be so far below the power curve they're really only good for role play purposes. Consider a Druid 5/Beastmaster 10. Without natural bond, your animal companion levels are: 18, 10, 7, 4 The second one isn't so bad, but the last two are just a liability. If you think applying Natural bond to all of them is too much, then have him take it twice. The first one applies to his first animal, and the second one applies to all his extra companions. |

And you will still be able to take Natural Bond one time for each animal companion. Anyways, I think I'll give it a chance. It'll still be a while before his character will have 4 Animal Companions, I'll just wait and see how good the second one turns out. Thanks. [BTW, Just noticed I put this in the wrong forum.] |
