| Cunning Gnome10-13-04, 04:58 PM | In the frostfell book there is a bow called a bone bow an exotic weapon it says in the text A bone bow functions as a composite longbow with regards to applying the users strength bonus to damage done with arrows shot from it. Does this meen u add your entire strength bonus to damage? they cost 500gp i think this may cover the composite price or maybe not. Could a creature with a strenght bounus of plus 11 add all of his strength? |

You're forgetting an important factor - a composite bow does not allow a character to use any of their Strength modifier. A composite bow allows characters to make it a MIGHTY composite bow.. which allows up to whatever Strength modifier you created it for (at a hefty price tag per +1). I assume what the text of Frostfell means is that characters can make bone bows (is that what they're called?) into Mighty bows the same way they can do with composite bows. |
