| MindFlayerArcanaMonk03-16-06, 08:30 PM | Is there a diffrence between types of bones, is a Dragon bone stronger than the bones of humans, could they be made into armor, or maybe a Staff or Club tpe weapon, or Bone Shards that could be honed to an Edge or Point and used as Swords or Spears or Daggers? I was wondering this because I wanted to use the Dragon we killed, and have the Mage turn his bones into equipment for my Monk, I wanted to have his bones crafted into Bracelets and Anklets and maybe a Staff, but I was wondering if it whould be any diffrent than just using the Bones of any other monster, are there diffrences in Hardness or the Hit Points... I just always thought that a Dragons bones where as Strong as Steel, but I guess thats just me being Crazy... Could I make a Displacer Beast cloak out of its skin, could I do anything with the Tentacles, there was a book I read one time where the main Character had a Cloak made from a Hellhound named Cinders... and it was his friend and it breathed Fire and I always thought that was awsome, is any of this possible? |

I very much agree with the thought of dragons' bones being much tougher than those of other creatures, but I don't recall anything, even in the draconomicon, listing specific stats for them. As long as it doesn't unbalance the game too badly, go with it. |

Draconomicon has rules for making items from dragon remains on page 116, called Dragoncraft Items. It requires a special feat to make dragoncraft items though. |
