| Fencerboy02-22-07, 09:02 PM | I am working on a new character concept, and I want to have him weild boomerangs. Where do I find stats for these, or, if they don't exist, has someone created a version? Thanks for the help in advance. |

| Fencerboy02-22-07, 09:34 PM | Thanks! :cookie: |
| Haplo78102-22-07, 10:33 PM | Sandstorm has them too. |
| Rulebook02-23-07, 01:52 AM | you do know that boomerangs dont return when you hit things with them right? this aint Zelda here. |
| Fencerboy02-23-07, 11:41 AM | Yes I did know that actually. It would return if it missed though, in some fashion. Depends on whether it bounced of armor or just plain missed. There should be a system for that. (And I think there is one in GURPS, I'm not sure. I must agree that real men don't play GURPS though...) |
| malisteen02-23-07, 02:30 PM | They still don't make any sense. by RAW: bounces off armor or shield? returns. You tossed it 50' down a 5' wide corridor and it didn't hit anything? returns. You're sitting on a branch of a 30' tall tree and throw it at someone passing directly underneath and miss? No, it doesn't hit the ground, it defies gravity by returning right back up to you. Boomerangs: Least sensical non-magical weapon ever |
| yehork02-23-07, 02:36 PM | Add the returning magic weapon ability, takes care of all the RaW nonsense for them. Boomerang of Distance and Returning +3, make it intelligent and call it Monkey Slayer. |
