I'd like to use a guisarme to make trip attempts (not necessarily the focus, but I'd like to be good at it) with my psychic warrior, but I'm having issues.

I have an unamazing strength (14), and I was wondering if there was any way to improve my trip attempts other than boosting my strength (or, of course, Improved Trip)?

Changing my size (via the Expansion power) seems to be a good option, but I'm still looking for a bit more punch.

Also, just for clarity: using a two handed weapon gives a bonus on sunder and disarm, but not trip, right?

Thanks

Your options include:

Boosting Strength, increasing your size, using a weapon that gives a bonus to trip, having Improved Trip, wearing Armbands of Might (Complete Adventurer, +2 to Str-based checks, among other things), being a Cleric with the Competition Domain (+1 to any opposed check), being a Reaping Mauler (gives bonuses to Str and Dex-based checks), and increasing Strength more.

You're on the right track with your guisarme. Check to see if any of these other options are viable, cuz they're all that I could think of off the top of my head.

Jotenbrud feat from RoF. It counts you as large for the purposes of opposed rolls. That means you can spend your PPs on other things, like Animal Afinity, for a +4 to Str.

More items that give you a bonus to ability checks:

Ioun Stone - Pale Green Prism +1 competence to attacks, saves, and checks; 30,000 g.p. (DMG)
Stone of Good Luck +1 luck to saves and checks; 20,000 g.p. (DMG)
Standard of Heroism As Standard of Courage, allies gain +2 on attack rolls, saves, and checks; 40,000 g.p. (Complete Warrior)
Black Sword +3 bastard sword, intelligent, darkness, silence, dispel magic 3/day, +2 bonus on attacks, saves, and checks, purpose is to overthrow tyrants; 131,335 g.p. (Player's Guide to Faerun) (Not sure if the bonuses only work when the sword is wielded)
Bracers of Relentless Might (Epic) +12 Str and Con, wearer two sizes larger for combat opposed checks; 4,384,000 g.p. (Epic Level Handbook)
Living Chain +2 spiked chain, +4 to Str check to trip; 12,325 g.p. (Miniatures Handbook) (Not a guisarme, but perhaps a model for a new magic weapon)
The Arms and Equipment Guide has some special weapon abilities that you might like to add to your guisarme:
Grasping: +2 to trip and disarm, and you won't provoke AoOs from opponents with reach (+2 bonus cost)
Sweeping: +4 to Str when making trip attack (+1 bonus cost)

The Wolf Clan feat from forgotten Realms gave a +4 to trip (it's from a 3.0 supplement, but those are supposed to still be valid in 3.5... although in this case I personally would not allow it).

Use a 2-handed weapon. That is always the best.
