The True Arrows bow enhancement from Sword & Fist p76 cites the True Strike spell for its +20 attack bonus. Questions:

* The spell says it covers your next single attack roll, so it's reasonable to believe this spell could be used with Manyshot (1 attack roll for many arrows at a penalty), but not Greater Manyshot (multiple attack rolls for many arrows at a penalty), right?

* Since this is built as a bow enhancement, would a Rogue wielder just use it as-is, or would he need to make a Use Magic Device check?

Edit:

* The bow in question doesn't list a market +1 or +2 price, just a straight cost of 4,000gp. Does this mean I can add this spell-trigger ability for about 4,000gp, or no?

In rolling up a new PC, I'd like to be careful about reading the rules as I'd like them to be, instead of as they are.

Thanks.

If you read the text for the bow, it mentions that the True Strike ability is spell completion. So, a rogue would have to Use Magic Device as per the rules for a scroll.

Maybe I missed something?

"This +1 mighty composite longbow (+1 Strength bonus required) stores the true strike spell, which the wielder can activate with a spell trigger (as with a wand)."

...I suppose one might argue, "intention-wise" or whatever, that true strike is supposed to govern the entire standard action (the attack - which, in the case of greater manyshot, becomes several attacks, but is still a standard action). but that sounds... dangerous. so I'm not gonna say that. just forget it, ok? :P

Because it includes the words "as a wand", I would rule the rogue does, in fact, need to UMD in order to trigger it. Unless he was a freak and took a level of Sorcerer somewhere. :)

No doubt, you need UMD for that unless you have it on a class spell list.
