05-16-07, 09:38 PM Would it be possible to increase the bonus provided by the bracer of Archery,Greater with a higher bonus and how much would the new bracer cost? Either to damage or to attack.

maybe just simpler to just upgrade the bow.

What are your opinions in regards to my question?

05-16-07, 11:01 PM I suspect if you just wanted to increase the attack bonus, you would assume that in the bracers of armor, greater, the +2 attack bonus is the most expensive component. Judging by the prices difference between the items, it looks you're paying the ballpark of

attack bonus squared * 4,000

for that part of the bracer. If that's correct, then increasing the attack bonus from +2 to +3 would represent an increase in cost from 16,000 to 36,000, or a payment of 20,000 gp.

As a DM though, I might rule against it because competence bonuses are more foreign to me then things like insight or morale bonuses to attack rolls.

05-16-07, 11:05 PM From the lesser and greater bracers, it looks like they run in the neighborhood of 5000 gp times the attack bonus squared, plus some more for damage. So they'll get expensive pretty fast. For +3 attack/+2 damage, I'd probably charge like 60,000 gp.
